If I was you guys, I'd be more focussed on questioning why your club is mortgaging years worth of first round picks for 5 or 6 years of danger. You're just deferring the inevitable. Danger may arrest that massive slide you are on, but it will come and you won't have any top quality youth coming through because you've spent your high draft picks.

I don't visit the Geelong board so I have no idea how Adelaide supporters choose to post there, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was the same sort of sentiment (ie. 'their list is garbage w/o etc.') towards Adelaide's list (judging by a few of the members who've ventured on this board).

We're not 'coming onto this board to talk up our side,' we are simply defending our club against some really misinformed posts about the quality of our list. We missed the finals by a game and a half despite our worst injury run in almost a decade and the toughest draw in the league according to Champion Data.

Our veterans are bit part players now but there's a perception we rely on them. It's simply not true and will be demonstrated in our B&F results this year.

Our coach was ****ing murdered, our best player was being constantly hounded about leaving by the victorian media, our new gun midfielder brad crouch didnt play a game due to a foot injury, one of our experienced backmen brent reilly suffered a near death brain injury and had to retire, our team has no players over 30 bar scotty thompson. We endured a hellish season and still made the finals against the odds. Stop crying about how bad your season was and how against the odds you had it. Youve had your run and have been a fine team but expect to drop off rapidly. Not even pd can save you. Gtfo of the kitchen.

Let's face it if we get pick 9, next years 1st (sadly imo it will be about pick 11-13) and some steak knife like Murdoch/Gregson we are still getting reamed.

Of course 18 clubs in the league would pay that paltry price to get a Dangerfield equivalent.

For me the above is the minimum I want and I would consider our guys to have passed their job in negotiations if they get this…nothing special but a pass.

Geelong had a really good team a few years back. Bartel, Gaz, Stevie J, Chappie, Enright, Scarlett, Mooney and the rest. But I really thnk that there success was based off of the greatness of those blokes on their own and Bomber Thompson. I really think that Geelong have a culture problem, 50 years or whatever without a flag a town that's shutting down and a sky that is grey, it's just not positive. For me this similarities between the Cleveland/Lebron come home to the Geelong/Patty situation were erie.

What games have you been watching? GHS is definitely more inside and delivery is average.

I've watched 3 or 4 games this year and in previous years mainly because he was a SA boy and we were supposed to be tracking his progress .
I've seen enough to say his inside work is very average, when he gets on the outside and has time and space his kicking is OK......as an AFL footballer GHS is a good cricketer, his big mistake was choosing football over cricket when he had the option as junior.....the reason numerous Geelong supporters have suggested him as a trade in the Dangerfield deal says it all.....he's just not that good and the epitome of vanilla. We already have ample of his type on our list....depth only and essentially list cloggers.
