So ok, we match the offer and trade him right?
Trading rumours... hmmm... time to really kick this thread up a notch...

Says it all for me.I loved the bloke, not anymore. I'm happy with the wonderful 8 years he gave the club and he was a one man band at times, so I don't think anyone can doubt his courage, determination and competitiveness, he gave it everything he had every week in a Crows jumper so he has to be applauded for that.
He's the enemy now and I don't give a shit how he goes at Geelong to be honest. Hope they don't win a premiership while he's there and I doubt they will anyway.
Thanks Paddy, my favourite player he once was, now the enemy.
Doubt it. When Fages says we are going to look after our best interests I believe him.Geelong gave up pick 21 for Rhys Stanley last year. And we're gonna end up with something close to that. Just let that sink in.
Seriously, it may be an option. You guys have been smashed, not sure what the afl can do but something needs to be done. I like the idea or academies, you develop players from your own state and yiu get to watch them flourish. All but rules out the go home factor.Should we be given a COLA allowance?
Just fairness is all we ask.
Whilst it sucks for you now, who knows what might happen in the near future when you get compensated for losing Danger.
I vividly remember hearing the Judd news on the radio in 2007 while driving my car. Was gutted. The trade we did for him 8 years ago helped put the Eagles in the position that we have today.
Chins up.
*edit: come to think of it the similarities between Eagles 2007 and Crows 2015 are a bit scary. That year Mainwaring passed away, and the Eagles were knocked out of the finals in the semis. 2007 felt like rock bottom.
As far as I can see this is exactly like the Judd deal if we match Geelongs offer. He then isn't a free agent, just a player who is uncontracted and wants to go home. If it was next year we would be powerless but this year we have every chance to play just as hard ball as West Coast did.Free Agency didn't exist back then. If we could get a deal somewhat that somewhat resembles the market value of Dangerfield, I'd be ok, as while we can't directly replace Dangerfield (unless Crouch finally stops being injured), we could improve our overall side. Problem is, I see us getting sweet **** all.
I hope duckwood does his knee again jext year while ducking for yet another free...
Started settling at 11:30 this morning. Good thing too, as he hadn't thought about it before then. The dust settled then.
Nah, N.BockHere's hoping for a N Buckley style career
I take it none of the off field inducements that Geelong are inevitably making will be investigated?
Agree but only a small difference - Judd could have gone to any number of clubs (despite nominating Carlton) and so the bidding war helped. I doubt there will be a bidding war here - although I hope there is! I think Carlton or Melbourne could really do with a player of the ilk of Patrick. As far as I can see this is exactly like the Judd deal if we match Geelongs offer.
