WOW.

The Premier's Private Office as big as the Prime Minister and NSW Premier's private offices combined. Why?

That chart, sourced from the Victorian Ombudsman's report is damning as is the opening paragraphs from the Executive Summary of the Report:

I can’t tell them the bad news, no one wants to know it

Do this and retrofit the arguments in the Cabinet submission

The notion that the VPS should just implement government policy, not challenge policy or offer new ideas, is a misguided article of political faith

Forty years ago, the British political satire Yes, Minister depicted a public service that paid lip service to the government of the day while civil service mandarins ignored the politicians and pursued their own agenda.

Today, the boot is on the other foot. Numerous reports around Australia, particularly the recent Robodebt Royal Commission, have revealed a public service overly responsive to the elected government of the day, whatever its colour. Concerns widely shared by retired public sector luminaries, academics and political commentators reveal the erosion of a core Westminster principle: an apolitical public service that serves the government while providing it with ‘frank and fearless’ advice.

Well never get that back of course

Members did vow to block Dan’s membership at Portsea. The President, who occupies his post at the pleasure of the voting members, has since come out and said any application will be considered on its merits.

Suddenly the story is a beat up?

Same thing has happened at Barwon Heads, and we know Dan pissed off members at Cape Schank by jumping the queue on his recent visit.

Get used to it. Dan is simply unlikeable. Why doesn’t he just focus on playing at Kingston Heath where he is already a member? Oh yeah, I forgot, he’s done his best to piss off members at that club.
surprised no-one posted this piece of humour

You can add to that the cost of the wasted hours put in by architects, planners. councils, sporting groups. How anyone can still spin this as a good result for Victoria is absolutely delusional.
It’s is only “good” relative to carrying on with the games
It is still shit.

Some want him to
Made up stories in response to the Victoria's under funded integrity agencies finally getting a chance to talk about Dan's bullying and corrupt behaviour. No chance he goes Federal with the tougher anti corruption body being stood up. Doubt Wong, Plibersek etc would tolerate his history of blaming and enabling the bullying of capable women either.

Doubt I'll ever understand why some love the 'angry dad' poor money management style of leadership only Dan can provide to infect federal politics.

I suspect voters in other states won't be as forgiving of his faults on election day. Either way, I'm more than happy to put the ALP last behind One Nation again if it happens.

You think voters in other states will be thinking about Andrews when casting votes in their own state or next federal election?! 🤔😲😆
