Andrews repeatedly promised that all measures were made on health advice, and said the health advice would be released. Both these claims were false.

Australia had well considered and reviewed plans for a pandemic. They talk about 'proportionate response' - a response that is appropriate to the level of impact the pandemic is likely to have on the community, and minimising social disruption. This is the opposite of what Victoria did. Melbourne was the only Australian city to be placed under a curfew. It was unprecedented in Australia.

Any defender of Dan Andrews performance as Premier during Covid needs immediate psychiatric assessment followed by a night out with Brett Sutton who will explain that Dan the man's repeated claims during the pandemic were that his decisions and announcements were based on health advice. Of course it has now come to light that this was not true and the idea of a curfew had not arisen from public health advice in the first place. I wonder how frustrated Sutton was with Andrews? Still, this is Victoria and my fellow Victorians are mostly thick as two planks. Perhaps we would be better off if we were all locked up again considering the crime rate down here is out of control... 439 carjackings in 365 days, stabbings, cigarette wars, home invasions, crazies on public transport and guns at the MCG! Maybe we shouldn't lock Dan the man up, just let him out to walk among us and hope for the best?

had not been proposed by health experts, although they ultimately supported the move as a way to limit transmission of the virus.
only caught bits of an abc report on this latest 'bombshell' foi release so happy to be corrected ..... abc report said the health experts in question believed the curfew proposal 'had merit'

give me a minute to put on a goretex poncho in readiness for a Qooker mind melt

See this is the kind of big brained behaviour I think of when I see people litigating (whether Sutton really supported) the pandemic curfews in mid 2025.

I suppose we can add a segment of cladding below the Skyrail to the "more debt" basket. Cheers to the Libs and the company that's been subcontracted out for running these billboards.

Also a fine metaphor for the Coalition's approach to public transport in Victoria I guess.
And train delays because of it

C'mon, Andrews should get time for the madness he perpetrated to the people of Victoria. I understand though that the left would've voted for him even if he signed their death warrant...What a bizarre time in our history.

Victorians already gave him 4 more years, but he retired (undefeated)

that's irrelevant in this instance Punter, he wasn't on my ballot at all

I didn't mention a name. Nor did I introduce the subject of who you voted for. Whomever is higher on your ballot between the two major parties is of importance when discussing your own vote.

Yes and I said I never voted for Andrews once, so again, preferences are irrelevant.

People act like everyone votes for the leader of a party.

Never denied any of that, but I still asked you about your preferences. You don't want to answer that direct question, that's how it is.

I mean I'm happy to say that Labor gets preferenced ahead of the Liberals but they're also never my first preference, I put them both as low down as I can, which in my seat isn't that low because we get a lot of really shit candidates

That's a liberal stronghold for you though

And yet I've lived in Labor seats pretty much all my life. I have inherited property wealth too. So much for geographical or socioeconomic stereotypes.

Thanks for answering my question.

I'm very grateful my grandmother who lived in a tenement in Glasgow worked very hard to buy that house that was given to me. Much rather have the living grandmother, but I acknowledge my fortunateness.

I also spent almost my entire childhood in rental accommodation and had the place sold from under us three times, but as we've found out in the last two weeks, once one owns property a previous history renting can no longer be true any more.

Nobody said that, you just want victim status for yourself and Amelia Hamer.
