Looks like a ready made defender like Max, who can be a midfielder not too far ahead, like Dawson.
His evasiveness and kicking looks so similar to Dawson, it’s hard not to compare the 2.

The best part of this year has got me pumped to see on how we can turn the young lads into regular AFL players, particularly with the recent early picks. If he’s as good as he looks in the highlights, round 1 next year looks likely.

For Curtin or Worrell? I'm very interested in how Worrell would go in that scenario. Curtin not so much, but I can live with him getting the biggest forward.

Well after watching that highlight post showing all aspects of Curtins ability in numerous competitions has got me even more excited about this pick.
Comparing his highlights to Rachelles etc makes them look like 2 nd round prospects.
I am hoping we can use him up forward on occasions especially after Texs time up , to have a target and produce that something special Bont - Petrracca style.

It’s best to keep an open mind , just like you do on the draftees for next year at this time , anything could happen in a year

not only that but we have just acquired a potential (probable) elite swingman who will be likely be significantly better than Petty. That 800k on Petty can be used to lure a quality mid or even help pay top $ to Curtin as soon as we can (I know we can’t re -contract a new draftee on a 3 year contract for at least 6 weeks into the 2024 season but just wondering if we could extend even by 1-2 years early-mid next year with a nice additional 250-300k per year as an incentive. Not sure how all this works - Vader? - but with his Dad a Partner of a Big 4 Accg firm “showing him the money” will play an important role I believe)

Our real need now is another elite mid NEXT year. Obtaining a pick for Sid Draper (assuming top 6-7 our 2 x first rounders would get close, but harder if he is top 3-4), or a trade like LDU or Phillipou (again allowing 2 x first rounders plus/minus change).

Another elite mid whilst planning for a new ruck over the next 2-3 years and our squad is pretty well set IMO

I think the bombers wanted caddy and thought geelong wanted curtin or caddy. Therefore they wanted us to take o'sullivan or leake.

Sounds to me like they always wanted Caddy? They thought Geelong would only pass on Caddy if Curtin was still there, hence them not wanting us to pick Curtin.

I also think TT plays his best footy as a very high half forward - the more he exploits his mobility as a marking option between the arcs the better imho
