that's rehab?

I don't know how I'd go doing that currently 'uninjured'

Yeah no wonder people return from long rehab like they're years older body wise.

While we're on Filthy, there's a scenario when Dan's back that we run the tallest CBA of all time
McAndrew - 210cm
Thilthorpe - 201cm
Curtin - 197cm
Dawson - 192cm
With a CBA setup that tall, we need the ruckman to tap the ball upwards like a balloon. Let's see Lachie Neal get the clearance then.😜

I can see it now. McAndrew starts pumping the ball up and Thilthorpe and Curtin barrel over Daicos consistently grab the ball and kick multiple goals from the centre.

Nek Minnut: AFL - Ruckman must hit the ball down and players cant prevent other players from attacking the ball

If he can do all that, what exactly are his limitations at the moment?

Obviously he can't do contact work. But his rehab seems quite advanced.

Was similar watching Rachele’s last year. I’m guessing it’s that it’s all fairly well controlled stress. But watching Rach’s made me wince constantly and you’re thinking that if it’s not going to go now, it’s never going to.

Would definitely be required. He's been off his legs for weeks. Going to take time to get back to full fitness.
Base training to build the running base definitely takes a considerable amount of time. I’d love to see what that sort of program looks like for elite AFL players. How they balance the high speed running with the volume running.

Even accounting for the need to build the tank etc. he still looks very good for 6 weeks out. Assume either we are being extremely cautious given his age and potential, or that he will in fact be back sooner. Good news for sure.
Hopefully it's an under-promise, over-deliver thing with his injury time frame

Will be a massive boost when he returns, even working into full match fitness

He became a player we were prepared to kick the ball forward to last season even in a contest. Just backed him to win it in the air. Not the traditional use of a wingman (and not something anyone in our team can replicate, bar Dawson) but crucial for us in terms of ball movement. It was a risk we were willing to take and we've suffered from his absence.

Agree. When he was flying mid-late last year, he was pulling down multiple contested marks on the wing per game. No one’s those marks for us this year, and without them it just bounces back into our d50.

He was pretty much unplayable in the air last year.

Not really, he was rarely beaten on the wing in the air.
He averaged 12 disposals and 4 marks a game.

I rate the kid and think he'll be a star, but people are remembering a few good games amongst a lot of anonymous ones.

Not that being anonymous is an issue for a 2nd year player.
