I just read that Geelon has delisted Danile Foster. He was drafted from the Port Adelaide magpies at 23 in the 1999 draft. 192cm 92kg backman. Has anybody seen him play and are we likely to pick him up in the PSD?

Also would anyone be interested in Adelaide drafting D Spriggs?

A change of clubs can certainly improve the fortunes, and the standard of some players, like Shane Ellen for example, but it can also backfire bigtime. But there has to be a reason for these delistings, and it these players were rejected as trades by clubs there would surely be some reasoning for that as well.

Lots of clubs delist guys and then someone else picks them up. Usaully the plan backfires but some cases you get the goods

He played an excellent game on Chad Cornes in 2002. Looked to be developing into a handy key defender. Shortly after had irregular heart beat problems and apparently lost all confidence. Not sure how he played in the VFL last season. Would presume that Port (SANFL) would be keen to get him back.

5 years in the club system and still not a name? Must say something about the lad. And heart problems? I am assuming the Eagleton type and not the Perrie type?
