He is exactally what we lack!

We should go after him hard in trade week i think a trade of Sellar and either one of Reilly or Douglas

It gives them a young KPP who could provide a nice target up forward for them and will find it hard to crack into our side next year and his trade value will be relativley good as he had a decent year

It also gives them a Midfielder to replace Kerr though not of the same caliber both of these guys could benifit from a change of scenery

Kerr would fit in our midfield nicely with Vince, Thompson and Dangerfield he wouldnt recive as much attention as he dose just look at how damaging he was with Cousins and Judd besides him not to mention he brings that aggression we seem to lack IMO

Unless Kerr wanted to go and was holding the club to ransom there is no way you will get WC to agree to the trade. Kerr for one of those players and our 13th pick might get you somewhere.

All that said, I don't think we need him anyway. We need a fast crumbing forward who loves laying tackles.

We'll take Tippett, Porps and T. Walker thanks.

You can also have Ash Hansen..

Isn't he a pretty screwed up unit, as a bloke? Could he corrupt the good solid core of decent young guys we have? Just not sure if he'd fit the culture of our club, or any club for that matter. From memory wasn't he in it all with the Cousins saga? May be wrong.

I would back the storng culture of our club to turn his wayward ways around

I think Kerr would be alright at Adelaide but i think it would cost a lot to get him down here. I would say we would have to give someone like Van Berlo to get him. Not sure what else we could offer that both clubs would accept.

I dont know if this would be such a bad deal as much as i respect VB as a player he is very workmen like and Kerr is a bit more flashy i would have to say if we could exchange one of our ruckmen for Seaby in this deal it could be worth a look

Can we have a rule that people don't just start threads wildy speculating about outlandish trades like this? Or at least a consolidated thread perhaps?

We don't need Kerr, we don't want Kerr, WCE can't afford to trade Kerr.

Stick to threads about Griff from the Dogs; at least their is a tiny, tiny likelihood of that happening.

I'd rather trade Seaby for Griffin. I am sure I have read throughout the year that Seaby wants out of West Coast, and Griffin is from WA ...

Trouble is his middle name. Wouldn't go near him.

Crows need a ruckman. Our mids are OK.

I have no interest whatsoever in the Ketamine Kid. He was right at the heart of everything which went wrong at West Coast, leading to Judd asking for a trade to Carlton and the AFL putting the entire club on notice. If you want one person to blame for West Coast's fall from grace since 2006 then the Ketamine Kid would be your #1 contender. It wasn't all his fault, not by any stretch of the imagination, but he did play a very large part in it all. The Ketamine Kid is toxic.

Quite aside from that, I don't actually see any need for him - and I certainly don't see any need for the Crows to pay the enormous price which West Coast would quite rightly demand.

No thanks!:thumbsd:

Agree, would stop the development of our own elite future midfield which is coming along very nicely:thumbsu:

If an elite or potentially elite player that fits well into our culture (i.e. not Daniel Kerr) is on offer then you take them. The "don't want to stop the development of our own midfield" excuse just doesn't stack up for all cases because there's always someone better than our least capable midfielder.

So who is better than our least capable midfield who is on the market at the moment???

I don't know who is really on the market, but if you believe the speculation then Ryan Griffen is one that comes to mind. Shaun Burgoyne says he wants to go to Victoria but that could change if Port feel like they're gonna get screwed. Geelong will start to feel the salary cap pinch, so we can sniff around there. Luke Ball's name will get thrown around too, particularly if he finds himself on the outer again this week.

Judd and Kerr were best mates.
