I agree, I don't think we're going to see Duncan out there this week.

By the sounds of it we won't be seeing him against Melbourne, but if he does happen to pass a fitness test later this week I'd rather rest him because its not worth putting his entire season at risk for one win.

Yep totally agree, We've got some midfielders on our list who are playing well in the WAFL so why not bring one of them in! Maybe Chambers or Adkins?

BRING IN CHIPPER!!!:)

Either that or Jeremy Humm. Chipper has been outstanding in the WAFL and as far as i know so has Humm. Humm is the same sort of player as Kerr but both could do the job for us, and id really like to see us reward chipper with a spot:)

I would like to see another youngster given a shot. Chuck Selwood in at CHF and see what he can do. Johnson didn't do much but the experience for him would have been good. Selwood played well this week with 17 kicks 3 handball 8 marks 4 goals 3 points. I think we will have our second away win next week when we play Melbourne.

I didn't realise Selwood was a key position player. The only vision I've seen of him was in the Wizard Cup game against Adelaide up at Darwin where he didn't look too bad (kicked a nice goal). Obviously needs to fill out a bit and with his body shape and height (187cm) I see him being a midfielder/flanker rather than a KPP. Impressive stats over the weekend though.

I've been impressed with what little I've seen of Staker. Can anyone tell me a bit more with how he's going with the Sharks and do you reckon he'll get a game with the Coasters sometime this year?

A lot depends on the fitness of a few key lads, and its a little too early to tell atm.

For my mind, given his history as a bit of an injury whammy, unless Gaspar is absolutely cherry ripe, I'd like to see him given another week, or a limited run in the WAFL. If thats the case, I reckon the best move is to keep PJ in the team- yes he did squat this week, but I'd like him to have another run before he gets sent back- obviously he's a long term development prospect, and a second AFL game could give him a handy fillip of experience- there's not much sense in sending him back to the WAFL after a single handball.

With Kerr, again, I wouldn't play him unless he is 100% fit. Given the number of people knocking on the door, we can afford to put these guys in cotton wool.

I doubt we will see Duncan out there this weekend. The "same as Cousins' injury" ploy I think is a bit of smoke and mirrors. Cuz was walking the boundary within minutes and then returned to the field to finish off the game. Duncan on the other hand looked in a lot of pain when he was off the field then he was taken from the ground on a cart. He couldnt even walk off???

From what I saw, he will miss at least 2 weeks. A definite blow but we do have some depth, replacing Duncan though cant be done, we can only compensate as best we can because Kerr is class!

No way is Duncans injury to the same extent as Cousins. Im not even sure if its something major or just a twisted/sprained ankle??

Definite out for this week at least

The club are being very hush hush. Obviously a ploy to keep the Melbourne coaching panel guessing to the very last minute. I wouldnt be surprised if we see him named on the bench and see him get dropped at the last minute.

On channel 2 news last night it showed his foot was either heavily strapped or in plaster and he was on crutches moving very slowly. I don't think we'll be seeing him this week...

Haha, given that footage, I doubt he's had the need to use crutches much. Very awkward indeed!

And MrE, the Duncan thing... got a link? Seems I must've missed something (again). :o

What kind of odds do you think you would get on Kerr actually being named tomorrow??

Footage tonight showed him walking laps with Wirrapunda. Didn't look like he had much of a limp.

He'll probably be named anyway. The club will give him till the last training session to prove his fitness

I dont expect him to play though

Kerr/Wirra

Woosha said last night that there was more chance of Duncan playing than Wirra. And who amongst us would not believe Woosha ?:D
