Is there any chance Daniel Kerr could be traded? Hasn't been much talk, but you'd think he'd fit in to a few premiership contenders plans, but maybe not so much with cellar dweller eagles. Would St Kilda be able to get him with pick 25?
 
I wouldnt mind seeing him traded, for the team and for himself.
Kerr wont be around for our next premiership tilt.
pick 25 although its a first round pick, id still be pretty dissapointed. Pick 25 + a player would get it done. Kerr is a superstar and with better players, with bigger bodies around him, there is no doubt he will return to his devastating best.

I was talking to a mate the other day about Kerr and it's a real shame that the talent he has is rotting away due to injuries and being at a bottom 4 club.

If he was able to stay fit and be at a club like Collingwood or St.Kilda, I have no doubt he would be an absolute superstar, I rate Kerr very highly and would have him at the Swans any day.

This guy is getting paid an absolute fortune from memory would need to have plenty of cap space to fit him in.

If McLean is worth Pick 11 what is Kerr's worth?


Jacobs to Adelaide
Kerr + McKinley to Carlton
Pick 14 + 18 to WC

or something along those lines..
 
Eagle fans wouldnt have a bar of it last year about kerr being traded. Didnt he sign a 4 year deal last year anyway? His value would of gone down alot in the last 2 years as he keeps getting injured.
 
We have a few dollars now in our cap and a few extra picks would be a great replacement for Gazza.

Lets make a deal
 
I honestly dont think the club would ever trade Kerr. They have already come out and said both Kerr and Cox are required players and will not be traded.

I cant wait for a fully fit Kerr next season (fingers crossed). Our young midfield really needs his experience around the ground. I still know he has a lot to offer the club and the young players

Worsfold has stated that Cox & Kerr are off limits. He's our only gun midfielder for our young ones to look upto however, if an offer too good to refuse came around...

For the past couple of years this comes up... he is under contract for another 3 years ? After his contract extension LAST year (his contract was due to expire the end of this year).

There is no chance I can see him being traded, we still need him as a big bodied mid fielder and hopefully he can get himself right and back to his 06/early 07 form... but who knows.

It would be strange for him to request a trade now after signing the extension, but if the money and trade deal was right and he wanted out it could happen, HIGHLY unlikely though.

Pick 25 for a premiership player who was twice runner up for brownlow ?.... good ol bigfooty forums at their finest.

Will be interesting to see how he goes next year, full pre season and he would be madly wanting to make up for this years unfortunate injury.

Kerr and McKinley are not worth Pick 14 and 18 . Kerr would be worth 18 maybe but McKinley would be a second or third rounder at best.
 
He's come out in the media and said he wants to finish his career at west coast. If however he did want a trade, I'd love to trade him. I'd take maybe a high teens pick or maybe even lower, or some combo of pick + player. I'd probably trade him for less than most west coast fans would, there is a good chance he doesn't have heaps of footy left.

I don't think we would trade him.

Seems more settled these days since he got married.

The above is around the mark of what we would want.

The only club I would trade Kerr to would be GC, for Brandon Matera and pick 15.

Buts thats only because I want the Matera name to continue at WCE.

Kerr on his own is worth 14 & 18 based purely IMO on the precedent of Burgoyne last year.
 
If Ball went for pick 30, I'd say about 35-40 would be Kerr's price. Injury prone, aging, inconsistent, complete inability to handle a tag, years since he has had a good year, the list goes on.

What difference does it make if you trade a pick for him or if you use a one on him in the draft?

Ball was still deemed to only be worth pick 30, with that in mind pick 40 would be about right for a bloke who hasn't even managed half a season in the last 3 years.
 
Daniel Kerr is not on the table and there are several reasons why he will not be traded.

- West Coast are building a new midfield and he is firmly fixed as the premier player in that plan.

- After the Chris Judd homesick debacle West Coast have more of a local focus and would not trade a local boy for an interstate player or a high draft pick when there is no obvious local choice.

- Kerr has never been unhappy at the Eagles, loves Perth, is recently married and is earning a packet...

Keer has played 21, 17, 11, 11 and 4 games in the last 5 seasons respectively. He was good in an elite midfield, but is now so injury prone you will be lucky to get 10 games out of him .............


Considering he is on what, 700k a year, that is 70k/played game :eek::eek::eek::eek: Thats GC Gablett figures !!!!!!!!!!

His trade value would be "rock bottom" coming off 3 seasons for a total of 26 games. A mid teen pick would do it considering the amount of $$$ you would also inherit with the trade .............
 
What raises his asking price is the fact that unlike with Judd he is under contract and WC do not have a shotgun aimed at the nuts to do a deal.
