I wouldn't complain if the club took a punt on him with our 2nd pick. It's not until 31 or something, and anything down there in this years draft is going to be a gamble anyway. Obviously the cheaper we can get him the more worthwhile it is to take the punt.

Give him a one year deal with incentives to actually get in to the firsts, and hopefully the change of club gives him the boot he needs. If it doesn't you axe him at the end of the year and you haven't really lost much.

Yeah, we lose pick 31.
I'd grab a skinny KP backman and see what happens??

I'd only offer our 4th round...either way Richmond delist him this year or next!

Don't see where Meyer would fit in at Hawthorn. I'd rather see us put our investment into the likes of Travis Tuck, Beau Muston and Xavier Ellis who are much more likely to reap dividends than Meyer.

i'd like to see us hold on to meyer, he's a pettifer in the making i think, all above the shoulders, does'nt work hard enough to play afl but has the potential to do so. I am confident we will hold onto him unless its in a deal for morton. Will do well when he learns you have to work hard to play afl as probably never had to all his junior career.

Not sure why Hawthorn would be interested in Meyer at all. Moss, Ellis, Tuck, Muston all still to find a role. On exposed form Meyer would be getting in a queue.

If Hawthorn must do this trade (and FWIW I hope they let this one pass), it's got to be bargain basement. Forget where Richmond drafted him, three years with little to show for it.

Third round (pick 45) at best.
exactly right...i cant understand why hawthorn would be looking at the kid, rather than developing moss, ellis, muston, tuck, kennedy

moss, ellis, tuck, kennedy - none are quick
muston - rumoured to be fast but looks slow at BH

Hawthorn's biggest weakness in the midfield is pace with Crawford to retire in around a couple of years we get even slower. The AFL is getting faster.

We see a fast kid at a possible cheap price who's a natural front runner we are missing we say let's take a punt maybe he'll come good one day or in a different more winning team his skills (like Weaver said) might be more useful. Call it the Caracella factor a bloke who is useless when his team is struggling but who can be the icing on the cake in good teams that make sure they win games.

For a third rounder he's worth a punt.

Seriously, don't you feel just a little bit silly saying that?

Did we look timid when we tuned you up by about 10 goals?

And if we've got tickets on ourselves, well at least we have a bit of a reason too.

And if he is a good fit for "Hawftorn" then why does he play for Richmond?
