He’s had plenty worse, had to sacrifice his intercept game after Murphy went down and did really well holding the backline together.

Moore's main role is preventing marks in the defensive 50. Lions took 5 to our 12. The defence held up. Not his best game, but led the defence well.

He told reporters after the game that as well as the hamstring injury, which saw him miss the last couple of games, he has been playing with wrist and ankle injury. He said played through a fair bit of pain yesterday.

His ankle looked terrible during 3/4 time in the prelim.

Hamstring issue recently.

And whatever that was saw him in a cast. He’s pretty banged up.

Did ok. Not poor not great. Just ok.

I thought the ankle injury he picked up in the prelim may have been worse than the club let on and he was playing through. Darcy certainly wasn’t covering ground as well as he usually does and wasn’t as mobile. It wouldn’t surprise me in the littlest bit if it comes to pass that he was a lot more banged up than was known.

Just makes him all the more the champion and brilliant leader.

The g/f was pleased enough with his efforts judging by this and on the ground after the match. Reckon he was a bit hampered yesterday so Murph going off was a blow to our structure. I had heard that he was going to get rotated on and off big Joey.

It definitely wasn’t his best game, but I think he was disadvantaged hugely with Murph going off so early.

I've been lurking on this thread on and off as I was priveliged enough to see his first game at Docklands. He galloped through the middle like a spring foal and kicked 4 (?).It was an unusual and entertaining debut. He was playing basketball in a footy game.

I always knew he'd be a stsr & I kept the faith unlike some others in the early stages of this thread (you know who you are !!!!)

I wonder what scrutiny Darcy may have copped had we lost. His poor game has gone under the radar. Daniher always has his measure whether at Essendon or Brisbane. You are right. Victory washes away these issues but other players have still had their games scrutinized. He has the amazing capacity to be in the moment and not be weighed down by whatever happened moments before.
