Have been a big Parish fan for years. Such a very good mid and we’ve been crying out for more class through the midfield for a while. As has been said though, his price would be too high for my liking. Pick 8 and a player like SPP maybe? Probably not enough. Personally I wouldn’t want to sell the farm but Essendon would be asking for the whole damn lot

What about moving McGrath instead of Parish? Although I assume McGrath's value wouldn't be anywhere near Parish's

If you could pry out one of Parish or McGrath it’s a no brainer that you’re targeting Parish.

McGrath is just a solid citizen. Parish has shown he can be a standout midfielder.

SPP as a sweetener is a bit too much. Parish + F3 for 8 + F2 would be the realistic best we could hope for.

I wouldn't want SPP anyway. Plus I half expect Francis to go to Port so he'd be the one to tack on at the end of the trade. However I'd expect Parish would stay in Victoria.

But yeah, Parish and Francis for 8 and F2 would be palatable for me. I'd rather this year's second or the Amon compensation pick (if pick 19) and something else also going back but eh

I’d take pick 8 alone tbh, not saying he’s bad player or anything. Just doesn’t provide us midfield balance. We probably need to hit the draft for the next couple years, so wouldn’t make sense for Parish himself and his ambitions to compete in September to stay here.

It’s been reported he’s very unhappy about the direction of the club, and with a year out of free agency, and another bottom four finish could realistically entice him to leave.

I don't see it being in anyone interests (except maybe Parish) to move this year. He's worth most likely a top 5 pick next year with the salary he would command. It would take a very desperate club to make a play this year (and dealing with Dodoro). Realistically would be a 2 top 10 picks type deal which noone should pay a year out from FA.

That's why i would never want a player from Essendon, dealing with Dodoro stuff that he wants gold for a turd

If you could pry out one of Parish or McGrath it’s a no brainer that you’re targeting Parish.

McGrath is just a solid citizen. Parish has shown he can be a standout midfielder.

Even if you swapped their roles, which you can’t, there’s deficiencies in both careers.
Id reason that they’d be just as they have been elsewhere. Underwhelming.
Maybe a good third string to the bow. But not worth early round picks on output.

Well this year he went 6.1 Clearances (9th) with 6.9 SI (top 10 for mids) and 380 meters gained a week, which is fairly good, was even better last year, I could see him rise another level as well in a good team.

Idk I thought if Parish was to leave us, it would be for Geelong. However I thought it happens when he’s a free agent. He’d give your midfield a few more years lease of life, plus I’m sure Chris Scott could fit him in coherently in your set up.
