Wait, the whole f***ing premiere is amazing. It doesn't waste words, doesn't take the viewer for fools and is intelligent and thoughtful when it has to. Great use of music and silence in particular moments.

The dialogue between Murdock and Fisk in that diner scene is on another level, looking forward to Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio carrying it again. Bring it on.

Do I need to rewatch Daredevil Seasons 1-3? It's been a loooong time.

One of the greatest TV shows ever but it'll take forever.

Or just dive back into this?

I remember quite a bit but I still think you can dive right in even if the show doest recap the past as long as you remember generally who the main characters from the last season.

Does this still have the overlong verging on boring fight scenes?
Season two was the worst, I swear they finished an episode, realised it was about 30 minutes, and just decided to pad it out with pointless Daredevil vs Ninja fight scenes to get to their 50 minute benchmark.

Season 2 was undoubtedly the worst but if you don't like the one shot corridor style fight scenes then maybe it isn't for you in the first place.

I think that's a bit unfair because it's not like you're saying 'If you don't like comic book shows then this isn't for you in the first place' we're talking specifically about a stylistic choice to make the fight scenes unnecessarily long.

I think it's a mostly fair comment, because one of the main reasons people liked Daredevil on Marvel Netflix is the long fight scenes.

I had no idea about that when I first watched it, but I'll take it from this comment that the new show has it too.

Season one was fine and there was lots of good fight scenes, but if you don't think by season two they were mostly just there to pad out time and became a quantity over quality thing then I dunno.

People liked the GOOD long fight scenes, the hallway scene, the jail scene, the final fights, etc

Nonetheless I watched for the characters, the story, and the style of the show, but seeing those characters trying to movie the plot forward only for a roadblock of a dozen baddies again, was a little tiresome for a series with hour long episodes.

I do agree some were unnecessarily long, especially in season two. The whole Hand and Madame Gao thing bored me. Elektra was tepid imo. Punisher and Fisk are the best villains.

They are trying to draw it out - I mean, how many conflicts can Murdock and Fisk really have - but still remains top echelon Marvel TV in my view.

Murdoch and Fisk is definitely the core of the show, Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio just bounce off each other so well.

Solid ep.

Loved Matt taunting the dirty cop during the cross examination. "In boxing they say the best cure for a black eye is fast hands" whoever put that line in the script deserves a raise.

I was hoping to see a white tiger/daredevil team up towards the end of the season as I thought the character would just stay retired for a bit until Matt needed his help. RIP to the actor who played him and the character, shame we never got to see him in action. A nice little touch in the end credits they didnt play any music just the tree frog whistle he talks about in the first scene.

As for that ending, Frank is not going to be happy.....well angrier than normal.

It's not. Noticed the skull tattoo's the NYPD have on their wrists/neck? That's all I'll say

Really enjoyed The White Tiger actor's performance.

This series is missing the cinematography of the early season under Netflix but the writing and story so far has been brilliant.

Yep I did indeed

We may still get this, given some others we saw in the most recent episode.

Holy Shit episode 4 was incredible!

That scene between Matt and Frank was fantastic. I will say it again Charlie Cox is brilliant.

Kingpin is back. Love the little call back to his ill intent speech.

Oh I think there was a bit of ill intent Wilson.
