So you want the umpires Irished up and Ed sexually aroused so the AFL knows what's going on.......strange but it could work.

To put things into perspective I couldn't care less what he says to a player about his performance so long as he allows a player to make comment on his umpiring performance with out penalty (even with him mic'd up). As it stands now he can say what he want with out any consequence because he is adding character, or something like that? but if someone with a strong personality like cam mooney was to make comments on his umpiring he would have a free kick given against him and/or a 50m. Surely cam's personality is also good for the game and he should be also encouraged by the AFL to speak his mind?

James Hird says the umpires were not good and gets fined etc etc. umpire says a player is not good gets pat on back from afl.

I agree with you Cats fans... he is a shocker! And now for the hypothetical... let's suppose that the AFL in their "wisdom", decide to assign Goldstink to umpire our game on Sunday. It would almost be worth it to hear the reception he cops from you guys!

Yes but the fact 2 other players on 2 different occasions said that he made simular comments to the ones on Sunday can't just be coinidence.

Geelong wasn't contacted by the AFL to hear it's complaint and they rang Goldspink who denied anything happened and then decided that was all they needed to know. The way the AFL have handled this is disgraceful, talk about arrogance and double standards. Goldspink is a liar. I totally agree with Sams rant about the bloody prima donna umpires in games these days. Enough is enough.

The most disappointing part is that Chapman is being portrayed as a sook. I read Derek Humphrey Smith's article in the HS and I thought it was very ordinary.
