The thing that gets me with the media is that they are unaccountable. In the real world if you make some outrageous calls that turn out to be wrong, you risk losing your job. Yet guys like King can crap on about unsubstantiated innuendo and constantly make wrong calls yet they get off scot free.

I find it funny that he is paid to scrutinise coaches and their tactics when he was a senior coach hopeful who was not good enough to get a senior gig. Now he is in the media criticising blokes who are good enough to get a gig, how does this happen? I mean he was a good average player, so it's not like he is a Bartlett or Watson who failed at coaching but were great players.

If he is paid to analyse and dissect teams and players, then surely he should be held accountable when he gets it wrong. Or at very least he could put his hand up and say he was wrong.
