Great player. His last game was the 82 Grand Final IIRC.
He was also the player who kicked the ball when Jezza took his immortal mark over Graeme Jenkins in the 70 GF.

I remember his first night as a panellist on ABC's The Winners. They threw to him for a match report, he looked down the camera and froze. They had to cover for him somehow. A very nice bloke, not huge when you see him in real life. Hasn't been on the best of terms with the club over the years but hopefully that is sorting itself out. What a mark, what a kick, what a player.

He played at Oakleigh and Trinity Grammar in Melbourne. Quick, great skills, good pick up by the crows i'd say! If there was a player that he could be like i'd say....mabye Kane Tenace from Geelong comes to mind.

'81 Grand Final. Kicked a goal with his last kick. A 50-55 metre drop punt that put the game beyond Collingwood's reach.
You are kidding aren't you. Don't put Mackay in the speed stakes of a Kane Tenace. Also he plays nothing like him. Mackay is elusive more than fast.
Don't know anything about him, but it is obvious for the world to see that Adelaide's midfield and entire list needs a serious injection of talent or else you will be stuck in the bottom 4 for at least the next 5 years. At least you got Bryce Gibbs out of this draft, he is pure quality, probably the best ever player to come out of the draft, he will help you guys a lot in the midfield picking up 30-40 possessions a game, oh hang on.......

A 1970's version of the other famous No.43 at Carlton - Kouta.
Ruck Rover...? Probably played a few games there, because by all accounts he was great below his knees and was a real impact player: when the team needed something, they moved Swan there.
