One of my favourite photos from the weekend.

Just a very well grounded and humble person, and a doting dad.

Qualities you want in a coach or a captain of industry.

Am no, I am by no means getting clucky, just really enjoy all the smiles and positive energy emanating from that photo. Even The President doesn't look quite so scary 🙈🙈🙈

I'm happy with Teague and don't think we'll do much better. I think he's solved some problems really well. I think a good showing against a top and form side in Perth is going to be massive. I think if we put in a good performance he should get the job. If we win sign him up.

I seriously hope the team dont travel to Perth this week. Eagles might kick a cricket score if we dont turn up at marvel.

Another Teague tactic on the weekend for the ruckman to push hard foward worked a charm. Casboult kicked all his goals playing ruck.

I would guess that Teagues been providing solid tactical suggestions all year that were ignored by a stubborn Bolton. Or just not communicated in a digestible manner to the players.

So refreshing to have a coach being proactive rather than instructing plan A and then sitting in the coach’s box acting like an emotional supporter.

Oh yeh they’re all on board now ... get to the back of the queue Ralph

Yep. Amazing by so called "experts". 6-8 weeks ago our list was no good, Jack was leaving, we were in crisis, board in trouble, SOS leaving. We were always going to come good and our List is awesome. Lazy Journo's

He did that with Kruezer as well. Worked well especially when we went more mobile

Teague demolished Adelaide yesterday playing DeLuca/Kennedy/Gibbons/Phillips/Casboult/Lang in the side - let that sink in.

Carlton pretty much ended Adelaide's year yesterday with Kreuzer/Marchbank/Charlie/McGovern all out..

some 'VFL track watchers' were making jokes about how pathetic a "Gibbons Casboult DeLuca" half forward line looked on paper going into this game...similarly, same 'track watchers' voiced their opinions about how s**t Phillips is...

Under Teague - the team isn't playing like it has a bail out excuse for losing or being uncompetitive - they are playing like winners. Cripp's call for players to step up and play for the 'now' - made earlier this year - is finally being implemented by those who count - the players.

I'm enjoying watching a Carlton side actually have numbers at contests and players demonstrating repeat efforts at contests and sticking tackles, I'm enjoying a growing ability to combine with overlap running and a forward line structure that stays there providing targets and creating opportunity through sheer repeat effort.

A coach who has players playing for him is priceless - haven't seen this since 2011.

Adelaide was a big win for Teague - huge.

West Coast | Richmond | Saints | Geelong

I don't think any of these sides have pencilled in an 'easy' win against the Blues.

The coach selection committee all of a sudden - wont be able to 'hide' behind a big name as a default position - I'm enjoying the behind the scenes drama being played out - as opposed to the smart arsery and training wheels commentary dished out after Bolton was sacked.

We’ve won a game interstate without Cripps and won a game without Kreuzer. That was paying 100/1 8 weeks ago.

Phillips took two nice F50 marks and kicked 1.1 as well which was great to see.

Our KPP stocks are one of the best in the league...our big guys have troubled every opposition team so far under Teague. And we only saw Charlie for 2 of those games (for 10 goals).

In such a short space of time he's made so many great tactical changes to our team, both as a team as a whole and for individual player roles.

The last 3 Sydney, GC & Adelaide games in particular we were clearly the better team and looked in control the whole game.

Imagine what he could do given an entire pre-season!

Has Teague said he wants the job yet?

No but he did say for the first time a few days ago that he thinks he could be a senior coach next year.

Before that he would just deflect and say he was loving the job at the moment, learning about himself etc...so i think Teague is starting to prove to himself he's ready and his narrative if slowly changing.

Having said that there's no rush, we should go through a thorough process and wait until the end of the season. IMO would be amateruish to hand him the job now and announce it.

Has Teague said he wants the job yet?

“Do I think I could be a senior coach next year? Yes,
“Is it the right time for me?
“At the end of the year I need to sit down and have a think about it.
“I am stuck in the week-to-week job of getting ready for each task.”

Teague said if he didn’t win the job full time he would like to stay as an assistant given the strong relationships he had built.
“Right now I think it would be hard (to move) in the sense that I am loving the role I have got but also loving the relationships I am building.
“Ideally I continue doing that. If that’s as an assistant coach and the fit is right I would be happy doing that.”

Has Teague said he wants the job yet?
I think he gives hints. I would say yes of course he wants it. But I still say it can wait 4 or 5 weeks.
Nevertheless the pressure will come to move earlier. Just so they can have a story before finals time I guess.
Good on Teague for his steadfast manner and good on the club for keeping a lid on everything.

Pressure is going to come on the board to give Teague the nod if we play well this week.
I'm very comfortable with waiting until after the last game before making a decision, no rush imo.

This next block of games will tell us a lot.
One more win and no blowouts against the top teams and you would think he would get the job.
