Yeah, great logic - side bad but can't be this bad. Answer = side good, coach bad.
Not sure where you’re heading with that answer. I’ll pick an example but the first three games Fogarty played were excellent. He’s now been dropped and become a liability. I think we’re at a point where players are completely lost and unsure of the system. Talent only goes so far.

Fogarty was amazing as a new player before he learnt our systems and now is terrible

A poster on another forum is saying that Teague wanted to resign before the bye but was talked out of it by the club.
He looks broken.

Looks like he’s aged 10 years since taking over. Crazy transformation.

Would not surprise me a whole heap. Despite his shortcomings as a coach, he’s always struck me as a high character guy with a healthy self awareness.

If not in the next few weeks he will resign before the end of the season.

Remember Geelong supporters saying play him in the midfield, small forward it is. :thumbsu:

He can play both pretty effectively.

Looked like he’d locked down a role as a pressure forward who could have stints in the midfield.

Unfortunately he’s also now out of form, but he’s still doing well defensively.

For better or for worse, we seem to be approaching “the situation became untenable” levels.. again. If the writing is on the wall, I think Teague will resign. If things are really bad, I wouldn’t be surprised if more of the assistants resigned with him, which would make for a crazy time. I’m sure he can handle the review, not sure he’ll be able to handle it if the players tap out, which is starting to look like a possibility.

I don’t trust the decision-making of the Club and the Club doesn’t trust itself, hence the external review.

Could go in any number of directions, but my gut feeling, if things come to an end with Teague, is that a ‘godfather’ offer will be made to Clarko... for better or for worse.

Hey… this soft cap bullshit for the coaching staff, does it cover crowded funded volunteers?

because how’s this for an idea? We get in touch with a bunch of former players for the club and invite them down to help the players with their skills.

if every member gets involved, 1 gold coin per week, if we can get 10 former players to help out. Give em 5k/week for their troubles. Talk to Parko or Wallsie and get them down to Mentor Teague. Give them the remaining money. Rinse and repeat each week.

It’s a indictment on our coaching staff that de bear and Taranto had more tackles than our whole team at half time

Pretty sure the coaches tell the players to not tackle the opposition.

Blame the coach(es) all you want but the failure to lay tackles is fairly and squarely in the hands of the players themselves.

DT has been through more in his family life than anyone should have to deal with, let alone a husband and father in his late 30s - his reaction after the *fc game says it all

Fact is Carlton was a better team under Bolton (with more promise and definitely structure) than Teague.
They have only regressed to the point where their style of play is totally incoherent and lacks any flow.
The buck stops with the coach and he needs to be replaced.
While they're at it, why don't they bring back some club champions as assistants, Bradley, camporeale, Williams, SOS, Manton, whitnall, kouta and maybe even Waite has the makings of a very competent assistant Coaching panel.
A senior director of coaching should come together with whomever is the new coach.

No mention of Don Pyke anywhere
Quite a successful coach in his own right, would've thought worth a call.

The bloke who lacked the drive, determination and application to get himself into peak physical shape to perform to the best of his abilities? ... No thanks.

Can you elaborate on the credibility of that poster?
Decent poster, but I doubt it's true.

The review process started last week, and will probably take up to 8 weeks... at this point I think it's important that he stay and see it through.
