bluemahogany we aren't 2 and 3?

3 losses, 2 against 2 sides that are genuine flag contenders?

Arrow - I don’t think it’s the fact we lost yesterday. It’s HOW we lost.
Port are roughly a 5 goal better side than us, and obviously that was the margin. But to my eye we were at least 10 goals worse than them. The lack of structure, skill, progression, development is glaring.

It's a shame we didn't get Mark Williams across when we had a chance in some sort of role and as insurance.

Head of development at the Dees and look how quickly they have turned things around.

Everywhere he goes success follows.

I think it's the manner of the losses that has fans frustrated. It doesn't look like issues that are easily fixed. It's the same problems as previous years.

Poor setups, loss of confidence results in loss of effort. Last night was a debacle structure-wise, had shades of Malthouse years about it.

I agree, I still believe this attacking gameplan is the issue

Tweak that and things can change quickly

If Teague remains stubborn, then he has no excuses

Poor structure is born by a gameplan that is not sustainable

So seeing us enter the season with this game plan has fans convinced we are going to struggle.. It's not unreasonable to be flattened by the results thus far this year.

Freo and GC were depleted.

Yeap, Dockers and GC were depleted, but have we forgotten how many we had/have out?

In previous years we would have lost those games, in fact, we did

I dare say their injuries were worse than ours.

A Fyfe-less Freo is basically a bottom 2 club. GC injury list is the worst in the league by a stretch.

We're not playing very well, we're barely seeing improvement; albeit 5 games is a small sample size.

Calling for Teague to be sacked is over the top, but I get the frustration.

I think you would have to pull his finger nails out to get him to come to us ..

So Dockers are reliant on Fyfe, while we have shown we can win without Cripos

Who cares, we only played well in one of those two wins. Any other team in comp would have beaten us last week vs GC. We have not improved since Teague's first 11 games with us, what good will another 17 games of stagnation do for us?

against suns we were very lucky our defence held up well. we won but it was a disappointing performance considering they did not have a ruckman.

The problem is, we're not improving.
Bolton destroyed 2019, but with 6-5 Teague was able to salvage the year. And despite what many are saying, it was really only moving Ed back into the guts, it wasn't overly reliant on older players.

2020 was a wasted year, but we can blame Covid to some extent.

But we've gone backwards. How many players have improved? We've got injuries, but that doesn't really account for our terrible structure, particularly through the middle of the ground.

We won away from home . I thought we swarmed well ( numbers around the ball but not to close / ready) . Didn’t see that last night . On topic we have to stick with Teague .

it was good to win away from home. i was at the ground and i never thought we would lose as you say we swarmed well. however we weren't clean. they weren't either and i accept partly to do with a dewy environment.

Thing that irritates me about Teague game plan is the lack of effort.

You look at Adelaide and St Kilda and we have far more talent then them but they bring intensity and pressure. Why isn’t this a non-negotiable with us. Effort and harassing and chasing the opposition should be mandatory. Evenif we are playing bad, by bringing that defensive pressure all over the ground you can get away with wins

Rocket Eade could be a good director of footy, Ross Lyon, Brad Scott also

but we need senior assistants - Leppitsch, Robert Harvey, Scott burns, Chris Newman

Agree on this.

I believe as a club, we’re still suffering the consequences of bottoming out as hard as we did.

The supporters were led into it on the basis that it was a 66 game rebuild, but its become apparent that many more years will be needed to repair the very fabric of the club.

Let’s bring in some experienced help for Teague and see what happens.
