Great work by the serbs. In the semi and the final they win both games on the Sunday to get the victory. The scenes afterwards was what sport was all about.

I guess we all expected Djokovic to win his match and therefore we somewhat over look his effort. He totally destroyed Monfies. Troicki was magnificent though. Commentators were saying he was constantly playing top ten tennis. Will be interesting if he really kicks on now. Amazing result for such a small country and the fact their players grew up through such instability with the war, sanctions, US bombings etc.

DJOKOVIC!! :thumbsu:

7/7, what a gun. Loves representing his country, reminds me of Hewitt. Legend.

Hewitt's not a weak-minded sook with a lump of fried ice cream where his heart should be. Okay, harsh.

Huge, huge achievement from Djoker in all seriousness. I'd be very, very proud as a tennis player to have achieved something like that, particularly in an age where the supposed greatest of all time hasn't done anything resembling the same thing.

Which GOAT are you talking about?:p In all seriousness you've gotta love Rafa's work for the Spanish Davis Cup side. It's a shame Roger doesn't play for Switzerland more, they would probably win the thing, Wawrinka and Chiudinelli would both be decent number 2's.

Probably quite alright we didn't beat Belgium. Spain would have given us a right good rogering.

What a result for Serbia. They're a country with only about 4 million people and to have so many decent tennis players is a feat in itself. We should see what they're doing over there. One of their greatest sporting moments apparently.

Our greatest sporting moment was in 1991 when Red Star Belgrade became European and World champions in soccer, tennis is a small sport in serbia. football is a religion! but this is up there something to be very proud of!!! thankyou to djokovic and co there love for there country is fantastic!!!

Sport in Serbia is number 1 thing think of how much Aussies love sport Serbs love it 20 times more any and every sport we love to play ( but football is always number 1) and dont forget the way were bulit also helps Serbs are the tallest people in the world on average lean and tall our football team was th tallest at 2010 world cup so i guess were made for tennis. we have world class sports men and women in every sport we play. if we took up AFL we'd dominate that too i reckon.

Serbia has population of 6 Milion we've dominated Tennis but over the years we have dominated many a sport Football (Soccer) Serbia is 2nd to Argentina in players sold to other countrys our 2 biggest clubs Red Star and Partizan have a European record equal to Inter Milan, Liverpool etc, not only have we produced world class footallers, we love Basketball also 4 times world champions many stars over the years in the NBA Divac,Stojakovic,Petrovic etc, we have won a Euro Cup or world cup in every sport we play be it waterpolo, handball volleyall you name it we've won it.

Also the bloke that beat Phelps in 2008 olympcs is Serb Milord Cavic had that gold medal stolen from him.

we are a true Sporting nation!! even better then Australia i have to say :)

All with a population of 6 mil:) Long Live Serbia!!
