I'm not sure if this guy is trolling or....

Dont think so. Somethimes you see a player playing in a lower league and wonder why he couldnt make it at the highest level.

As supporters we are the best source except in this case it would only be the ones who watch Coburg religiously that could comment. I think the answer is he had no impact at VFL level.

Coburg reserves to be precise:o

LOL, maybe this question should be posted on the board for friends and relatives of Coburg reserves players. Not even the guys who watch our VFL team could give an answer.

Yeah he wouldnt even qualify for a Dud team of the decade as an emergency.

Surprised to hear just how bad he was. From what I've seen he moves well and has reasonable hands.

What position is he playing?

He was way too soft to be a ruckman and for a 200cm bloke that is a problem, had no impact as a forward either.

Was a bit dissapointing because he did have a solid year at the Cannons before getting drafted but just didnt come on.

He was no-where near ready, physically, when he was on the Tigs list.

The deal IMO is that in relation to where we were at and what we needed to fastrack as soon as possible, even though he was a "project" player, as a "project" player he didnt show enough as a "project" player to continue with the "project". Lets face it, as has become clear now, or should I say, was clear but has been made crystal clear now, was that we had nothing in the cupboard in terms of competitive ruckmen. They drafted Putt and although as you suggest was nowhere near ready, the last thing we needed at the time was to have 3 goof balls that were nowhere near ready...
He might just forge his way back into the AFL over time and good luck to him and whoever picks him up. But at the end of the day, he was the wrong guy at the wrong time for where we were at...
Another ridiuculous drafting desicion by imbeciles that had NFI. Here we were with no competitive ruckmen and they waste a space on a project ruckman, hoping they got 6 numbers in tattslotto and he overr the course of a year or 2 emerges as a senior ruckman...you pick up projects when you have a ruckman or 2 that allow you the chance to develop a project over 4 years or so..;)

The best part about that thread is the comments about Rance, goes to show i guess :p

I reckon a bulldogs fan maybe even on this board ? Early last season went with a thread on how terrible Rance is. Hasn't missed a best since that thread. Might have to go back for a look could be funny.

For the record, I'm not at all saying it was a mistake to drop him.
I've no idea, he didn't show much. But just seemed like he was a kid playing a man's game.
Might be a guy who blooms later, maybe not.

Thought it was pretty odd when he got cut, was only given 2 seasons and he was 200cm and about 14kg. It's not too common that that happens.
