TBH Carlton should be tanking, they will lose TDK and they would want the lowest pick possible. Why win a few and finish mid table for?
Culture? Pride? Respect the members who show up to games?

If they get a good offer they should trade curnow. Great athlete dumb footballer. Single handedly cost then the finals in 2022 with his dumb roll and go without thinking at a time they needed to hold the footy. Hope he plays similarly well tonight and they get belted.
I don't see it with him either. Flashy Spud. His recent 'good' season included double figure bags against North and WCE and then from memory another bag of 8 v North.

EDIT: North & WCE being the 2 weakest sides, in recent AFL history.

Hope TDK doesn't leave and sucks up 1.2m a yeâr and they're left without a first round pick.
Same here, i swear i am watching a different player to everyone else.

Good player, not close to great and not worth close to the money.

Do Carlton actually do the whole added value thing?

I read it and imagine a picture of John Elliot laughing with a cigarette hanging from saliva in the corner of his mouth.

No!

If you get pick 3, you win flags and start a dynasty within 3 years!

If you only get pick 7 or 8, you're forever stuck mid table!

Everybody on Bigfooty knows that!!

They'll do a clean out at the end of this year. They have to.

If they don't pull a Richmond in this year's and next year's drafts, they will be the club at the bottom of the ladder as Tassie comes through and sucks up the draft talent.

TDK, Walsh & McKay - Those three players alone would bring in four 1st round picks some 2nd rounders.

Either way, the club is going to be in for some pain over the next 5 years.

Graham Wright is the new CEO. A man with premiership success at two other clubs. He'll make the hard decisions and a realignment of their list with a more conventional salary structure is going to be one of them. Sadly.

Wright doesn't start in the role for another 4 weeks or so I think.
Which is really playing havoc with making calls on Voss as a coach.
They can't make a change right before a new CEO sits in the chair. And Wright would want to do a lot of review and discussing rather than swinging the axe on his first day.

They're in a shitty limbo that we will directly benefit from

Its clear his already started just not official title changes yet, their doing it live on camera

Crappy weather out there - looking forward to sitting in front of the TV with a negroni and watching Carlton get absolutely humiliated again.

I actually like Voss. But he's lost the group. Dead duck. It's done. The death sprial has begun.
He may be a champion player, but I doubt he'll get the opportunity to coach again.

Ooh, it's almost time for my favourite part of the week... gosh I'm loving Carltank games this year, especially in prime time. Usually makes for such an enjoyable night. :beercheers:

It's amazing how shite a corrupt organisation can become when they can't go out and buy themselves premierships and have to work on a level playing field with everyone else. Sadly for Carltank, it's still something they're trying to get their heads around.
