I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I don't mind.

Why should I be frightened of dying? There's no reason for it, you've gotta go some time.
Such an underrated post. :thumbsu:

To my experience, having been witness to more death than I care to remember, and given what my heart knows, death is simply the stark end to your own definitions of self.

The delusion of being separate.

But I really do not believe it is the end.

If I am not at the centre of the wheel of Karma, which most of us only learn at death, then I do not stop the wheel.

I'm not necessarily afraid of dying. I'm more worried about how I will die.

Dying of old age in my sleep would be my death of choice.

Dying horribly of a disease or accident isn't high on my list.
The worst deaths I could imagine would be falling from great height and drowning.

Having an iron hot with retribution, shoved up your ass like one of the great Richard Kings in Shakespeare (I can not remember which Richard, there are so many dicks in the world) would not be so great either.

There are a lot of horrible ways to die in this world.

So let us live my friends, nobly and true.

And have a bit of honest fun while you do.

That is the thing about unexpected death (and why would we not expect it, at all times? That is the only way to truly live) one tends to shit out everything that never mattered.

Or grasp on to all that never mattered.

It is the latter deaths that are so sad.

I guess what I am saying is this, do not fear death, but always let it be the contract, the bottom line, the tick tock clock that informs how you live.

Not preaching here, because I have wasted more time than Elton John eating ice cream straight from the tub.

But still, death calls........so what will you do before it does?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

As for death, we can't truly know what happens, except that it is the end of life, whether there is an afterlife, is a matter of belief and faith, I like to think there is one, as it will make it easier for me to accept death when the moment approaches.
