Surgery a few weeks from the start if the season. Ugh.

This could not have been done earlier?

They tried to give him the Peptide treatment and it didn't work so gone back to traditional methods.

Well done to who ever talked big o to staying on with maric,Hampson, big o capable to play the number one ruck and getting a chop out from griff or big Vick good foresight from the club and if there is no better option in the state leagues or draft give o another year

The Hampster will get the job done.

This is a large part of why we recruited him...We knew Ivan had injury concerns and couldn't be relied on to play every week, so we got someone capable of covering.

Yeah, so it came earlier, and probably longer than we might have hoped, but this is what he's at the club for.

It's a long way from when Tuck & McGuane were forced to take ruck duties.
Indeed, although it must be said that we didn't go straight from Tuck & McGuane to our current ruck depth, the Shaun Grigg era was an important stepping stone ;)

as dumb as an OX. Griffiths will come in as well as the big O. Our midfield is elite and will shark most of the oppositions ball anyway. Like someone said above i rather lose him at the start then the end of the season. also gives a chance for players to stand up. Big year for Griffiths i sense

At the very least he ups the average quality of our team portraits.

INJURED Richmond ruckman Ivan Maric admits he has no idea when he’ll return to football after undergoing surgery to remove bone spurs in his ankle.

The Tigers ruckman was a welcome sight at training on Tuesday, involved in stationary hand drills, but has a significant rehabilitation program ahead of him before he can consider a comeback.

Richmond believes Maric will be sidelined for somewhere between six to eight weeks, but the influential big man is reluctant to circle a day on the calendar.

“I can’t really put a date or anything on it. They said around six to eight weeks, but it all depends on how I feel when I start running so hopefully it all goes to plan,” Maric told the Richmond website.

“I think for the first four weeks I’ll be swimming, bike and boxing, generally off my feet and then I’ll be running outside and building up from there.”
