I have doubts he is going to make it at AFL level. Goldy picked up AFL football the year he was drafted, Daw has played more footy than Goldy did prior to getting drafted. You either have natural ability to understand the game, or you do not and there is only so much you pick up through training and effort.
I think the only role he has shown any real affinity for is that goal square forward, that is largely because he doesn't have to do anything other than leap, mark and kick. He hasn't shown a natural understanding of the game that you want him in the middle.
He is competitive at the centre bounce or a stoppage if he can get a run and jump at the contest, but is showing a lack of footy smarts through the middle.
Did someone say we should delist Grima, should have kept Delaney and wasn't that impressed by Tippett?
What games are they watching in this parallel universe?

I hate havong a dedicated delist thread. was much more entertaining when there would just be random delist posts popping up in all the other thread's.Yep that was me DR, I just see very little point in keeping a KPD on our list that plays 7 games a year, would have preferred to have put some resources into Luke who could see a season out, Narni at his best is easily a better option then Luke, but in saying that Carey at his best is easily a better option then any of our forwards, sadly we will rarely see either at their best in 2014 and onwards.
in 6 seasons at North Narni has played, 13, 17, 12, 13, 17 and 7 this year, Key defenders need to be stable and reliable to build a defence around, those number don't show that.
Tippett, mayby a bit harsh as I only saw him play once or twice live.
Could well be, I dislocated my shoulder (amongst other injuries) and even after reconstruction the bastard pops out very easily. Can't play golf, can't have a hit in the nets with the kids, and i woke up in agony the other day after falling asleep holding the ipad watching game of thrones. In all honesty, would never even contemplate tackling someone. Then again, could be just age or I had a dodgy surgeon. Hard to guage how much impact shoulders have on players because we are always so interested in how they can move, but shoulders will restrict you from doing weights, cause pain in tackling, and would definately have restricted overhead movement.Actually I did. I rolled my ankle and ran 10km on it 3 weeks later. Took a while to kick a football though.
Are you seriously telling me that Chris Judd pulled Patch's arm that badly that even after surgery and a shitload of time to heal that it would be that ****** that the bloke can't even one grab a football? I find that hard to believe.
So you know how mentally tough it is to get full confidence back in your body then?Actually I did. I rolled my ankle and ran 10km on it 3 weeks later. Took a while to kick a football though.

if Sammy never comes good same could be said about him, he has never been the same since that hit he took against Richmond a few years back, was it Martin?
is it worth keeping injury riddled players? no trade value for any.
I agree but the question has to be asked.
doubt any of these will happen, but if they did...
Jacobs and McKenzie are too young to move on after just a few seasons, just my 2 cents.. I like Jacobs he was taken around the Atley pick yet he can play midfield (gets found out occasionally) but I don't see Atley in the middle so I don't know if he too would get found out.
I wouldnt mind seeing Petrie at CHB, Daw playing in the goal square with Black, Brown, Thomas and Wells up forward. If it looks shot, sub a tall and move Dish forward. If we are going to change up the forward structures, GWS is as good as any team to do it against
Daw wont be delisted
I'd love to see this.
I'm sick and tired of seeing Petrie spud it up in the forward line. He's been awful this year. He needs to get out of there and be accountable for something, not just be terrible in the 50 and have his soft coach apologise for all the 'hard work' that went into his 6 disposals and 1 mark.
I never understand why Daw, a complete rookie to the game who has played, what, ten games or so, has more expectation placed on him than a seasoned veteran and club vice captain who has been around for years. I seriously don't get it.
Daw's rucking alone keeps him on the list, which is another thing that can't be said for Petrie.
Will be interesting to see how the clubs sees Majak now......he'll be out for awhile. The experiment is in the balance now I think.

geez mate the body isn't even cold.
One of the things that have annoyed me over the journey that has been at times less than Majak is ( not talking directly at you) how some see him as detrimental to our Club. If he's out for six months so be it. We can afford to carry a guy on our list when we've 38 players + rookies. Curran, Tarrant, and lets not mention the next big thing in A. Kennedy, five seasons wasn't it? For zero games.
I don't think Majak was drafted as a quick fix and could be two years away from regular senior footy.
I'm being honest here the poor buggers copping a lot more criticism that he deserves, if this injury isn't a long term issue for him in life general I'm almost glad that his season is over.
The pressure put on him is ridiculous from our own supporter base there's threads on here stating he should be delisted FFS. And lets not mention the media.
Best of luck and am hoping for a solid recovery and looking forward to seeing him in the royal blue and white again in the near future.

After however many years on an AFL list, he should by now know where to stand to compete in a marking contest in the forward 50. He stands directly underneath the "highest marking point", making it far to easy for an opponent to run up and either spoil the ball or bump him under the flight of it. That he hasn't fixed that very basic problem after 4 or so years in the system suggests he isn't ever going to get it. I was a big supporter of the experiment, and wanted to get games into him, and I think the club has done that. Sadly I think it's probably time to look elsewhere.
Tis a pity Brown can't ruck like Maj, or Maj can't compete in marking contests like Brown. And that both Brown and Maj aren't built like Tarrant, for that matter.
Now exclude the outliers in Carlisle and Gunston and compare. Is Maj really that far behind the others from his draft year?
Stats wise pick 9 in the rookie draft is comparable with pick 8 in the National draft.
Talls simply take time more often than not. A tall with lesser football background even more.
Would those calling for Maj to be delisted suggest the others mentioned here be axed too?
