Funny how we're not listing our picks in the 80's or 100's i thought we also had picks there. Otherwise I think your right dbf…...

Correct me if i'm wrong, but do we have a bit of $$$ lying around now?
These are only guesses, as I have no clue about current contracts but:

McGuane - $350k
Nahas - $350k
Derickx - $200k
White - $350k
Tuck - $300k

That's roughly $1.5 million spare in the salary. Hampson is on about $250k, Pettard will be offered a new contract on about $300k... That still leaves about $1 million in the salary cap.

If that's correct, perhaps we're getting ready to make a move for a high-profile F.A next year.

If Derickx was on $200k I would be VERY surprised... That's alot of money for a guy who did absolutely nothing.

Salary caps are strange beasts.

Who is front loading their contracts this year to save next year, who is back loading, pre paying, etc etc.

To truly accurately work out space left, you'd need to be Blair or Dan Richo.

We are in good hands. Relax folks. The mess of past regimes is getting cleaned for good.

Nahas - $350k If he is on 350k I will eat poo. Glorious poo knowing 350k of utter poo was gone from our list.
Derickx - $200k Would be on 100-150k max i'd say.
White - $350k Port offered him 900k for 3 years which we weren't mad enough to match, we were paying him closer to 150k.
Tuck - $300k Might be right but bear in mind he was on the veterans list meaning we didn't pay that much

Yep. Except Nahas got an extension at the end of 2011 after he averaged 20 touches and kicked 35 goals, and played well in the middle - so $350k is around the mark.
