Grey was in a similar position last season, did not know his fate until just before the final listings.

Has the club confirmed any of this yet?
Anyone that doesn't see the big potential upside in Apeness doesn't know football.
If we get rid of him when we've got utter plodders like Jones sitting there we are idiots.
Bennell has soft tissue problems. Something that isn't going anytime soon.I love his agro and he moved better than I was expecting in his few games , I think it's fair to say we can only carry one Medicare superstar though so it seems we've hitched our wagon to Bennells calves instead of apes knees. That review of the medical room is working well what amazing insight ! Getting rid of some injury prone guys to cut the amount of games lost and the review looks like a resounding success ........ consultancy 101

Apeness has structural damage that is only acute, non recurring.
Yet we hitched our wagons with Bennell.
??Don't think we've de-listed Apeness? There certainly hasn't been any hint of it like there has been with Sutcliffe, Sheridan and Grey.
I appreciate half this board has lost it's ******* mind today but I think that's jumping the gun a bit.
There's suggestions Apeness is on the trade block??Don't think we've de-listed Apeness? There certainly hasn't been any hint of it like there has been with Sutcliffe, Sheridan and Grey.

Would not be worth a sweaty gloveThere's suggestions Apeness is on the trade block

Haggers said Schofield was going to Port a month back..is he getting better?

People get worked up because he is very likable.Grey is a battler, nothing more. I don't know why anyone would get worked up over him.
HammyApeness signed a 1 year extension the week before he was dropped, and then did his knee again.
Rosich on PEEEEERAH last sat said that uncontracted players(Sheridan,Grey, Sutcliffe, Hughes etc) would know their fate after trade period early Oct.I don’t think so.
There is a possibility that the reason the club hasn’t released these details is that that they are hoping to get a trade for one or more of the players, or that they may not delist all three if some of their plans to bring players in fall through.
Obviously I’m just speculating.
The players themselves know they are in limbo and have probably confirmed this to the reporters.

Apeness was extended for a year a week or so before he went down with injury again I believe. That's putting it mildly, it's like a field of headless chooks.
The only official thing we've heard is that Sutty, Sherro and Grey will not be offered contracts before the trade period. That means there's a good chance that they will be de-listed or ask to be traded (probably what the club wants), but that's it really. Apeness might be in the same boat, but we don't know. Many fringe type players get signed after trade period. Nothing unusual about that. You could argue we should try to secure someone like Apeness, but that's different to saying the club has let him go.
On a related note, can Grey be rookie listed? I believe he can't because he's already sat on the RL previous - or have I got my wires crossed?
No Geelong are keen to get hold of him and why wouldn’t they. He is a contracted player at Freo. Why is it when some reporter suggests Geelong have an interest do some on here want to leap to the conclusion that he wants to leave?...and Shaun Darcy is looking at his options for leaving ...
Congratulations! You've just completed the qualifications for a job in the West Australian sports media. What’s that about sinking ships and jumping? Kick Lyons ass out of coaching methinks.
Well I want Hughes to be kept.Rosich on PEEEEERAH last sat said that uncontracted players(Sheridan,Grey, Sutcliffe, Hughes etc) would know their fate after trade period early Oct.
They're welcome to him. As long as no one comes near SEAN Darcy I'll be happy....and Shaun Darcy is looking at his options for leaving ...
Gee we dodged a bullet there. The reported figure a few years back was astronomical from memory. We have been lucky several times missing out on our big signings
