I've been thinking about the injuries we've had and the form of our lads and tried to come up with a best 22 when fully fit... What's great is that is is really hard to do! All the young lads this year have shown so much promise heading forward and I think we have to remember that we're currently 5th on the table sitting above teams with a f*ckload more experience than us.
Joseph is our new no.1 tagger and is doing well every week, Robbo has great energy and wouldn't care if he left the ground in pieces, Browne is such a hard nuggety lad who shows that hardness and good skills can take u a long way, Austin is showing all the right signs of being that third tall down back that we've so badly needed, Garlett and Yarran have both shown promise and it'll be great when they are pushing to out perform each other for the spot in the 22 providing spark and pressure, and then there's Hammer and Army who hav have also given glimpses of brilliance in their short times in the light.
With Waite, Warnock, Walker, Carrazzo, Grigg and Scotland all missing from last fridays win, it's gonna be a real challenge making the cuts for those six, who i believe are all in our best 22. We may have a McGuire and Hudgton case on our hands as the season rolls on and into next year, where the kids keep the regulars out. And I wouldn't be complaining.
I had a shot at pickin a 22 and realised we have over 30 players who will all be putting their hand up come round one 2010.
B: Thornton, Jamison, Carrazzo
HB: Scotland, Bower, Austin
C: Gibbs, Stevens, Simpson
HF: Walker, Kreuzer, Waite
F: Betts, Fevola, Fisher
R: Warnock, Judd, Murphy
INT: Joseph, Houlihan, Grigg, Browne
Robinson, Garlett, Yarran, Hampson, Armfield, Russel, Wiggins, O'hailpin, Ellard
All selections would clearly be based on form, which will help build a hunger in our team, and wth the further development of these kids it looks like a pretty exciting next couple of years

Forwards were playing down back, (Hoops, Whitnal, Digby) we were just a shamble. Our midfield was ok but seriously lacking depth,if we got 1 injury to stevens or Kouta, thats it we were stuffed. Our forward line was just fevola, we're finally starting to see more options now (with a full list). Not to mention all the recyled players which should have been promising young kids in the team. The constant thought of knowing we could have had Wells, Goddard and McClean in our team.
