There's been a lot of debate about our current clash strip. Well, it appears the AFL still want a light-coloured guernsey to provide contrast.
So, time to put your money where your mouth is and design one for yourself. Here's the deal:
A shortlist will be picked by a panel of mods. After which, there will be a public vote to find the winner. The prize will be one year BFSC membership.
I've prepares some bitmaps guernsey templates which can be downloaded here. I've taken away a lot of the grunt work by including the logos in their correct places. There's also some other bits and pieces to help you. If you don't own software like Photoshop and the like, try PhotoFiltre which is pretty decent for a free program. But you'll have to take it from there. (Thanks to crow28 who let me pinch his templates!!)
The club had indicated to me that they'll be watching the outcome closely. However let me stress this isn't a comptetion to deisgn an official clash jumper. It's all a bit of fun.
So get cracking!!!!
So, time to put your money where your mouth is and design one for yourself. Here's the deal:
- It must be predominantly light in colour, gold or white being the obvious choices. This means at least approximately 65% of the front of the jumper and approximately 50% of the back must be light in colour.
- For the sake of accuracy, it must contain:
- The lion insignia somewhere.
- The "BBFFC" monogram on the top back.
- The AFL logo on the right (your left).
- The Vodaphone logo on the left (your right).
- The Puma logo underneath, preferably in white or blue.
- A large Vodaphone logo under the player number on the back. The text on the Vodaphone logo must be either white or red, depending on base colour. This goes for the small one on the front also.
- It must be made up of the colours gold, blue, and maroon, as well as white. Varying shades of these colours for certain effects (e.g. colour gradients) may be used sparingly.
- Entries that copy designs previously submitted anywhere on BigFooty.com or otherwise will not be considered.
- Include your BigFooty username on your design somewhere.
- Send your entry via PM to me. You'll probably need to have your image hosted somewhere. You can hold off until closer to the end, or get in early. You've got until midnight 31 May to get your entries in. You may have a maximum of 3 entries.
