Boots definitely go above 335. I have 337 Bones because I popped one out of curiosity.

If you had a completed Silver Tier Trials Bounty then you could luck into 335+ exotics in other slots.

Just popped into this thread to post the same thing.

Email from Bungie's PR team announcing private matches will be live (they say 'live now', but it'll probably be from reset).

The interesting thing to test is whether Supremacy is one of the modes available in private matches.

Not only that, but kills and wins count towards the Jolly Holiday quest step of equipping the TLW in the Crucible. Last night, I played about 10 1v1 private matches with a mate who barely plays any PVP (and consequentially was pretty poor, especially early on, though he showed distinct signs of improvement as we played). Equipping the TLW and winning four games in a row (before I switched to a scout rifle to do a Shaxx bounty) pushed me from 0% esteem to 19% esteem.

Apparently it won't work for the Imprecation quest, though.

Bungie needs to look at the qualifications for the medals. I shouldn't be receiving a Sum of All Tears medal for winning a 1v1 private Rumble match.

On the other hand, 1v1 Rift was quite enjoyable (much more than I thought it would be). Make a choice - grab the spark and hope your buff can save you as your opponent shoots the bejeesus out of you, or try to kill your opponent first and then hope you can dunk while at the rift spawn.

Yep. Just checked and they don't appear.

I did manage to polish off some outstanding PVP bounties, though.

The Rise of Iron expansion for Destiny will have paid experience boosts, so you can level up quicker using real money.

IGN has learned that the boosters will increase your experience gain for Crucible, House of Judgement, and Vanguard play.

it's only xp boosters? They give you a quite small buff to bounty xp etc. I'm all for being anti ptw but this really isn't that

Paying your way to upgrade packages is close enough to PTW to be criticised though imo. The XP boost itself is borderline okay, but when you add weapon/armour rewards to that, increasing your chances of good rolls/equipment...

EDIT: oh, I read it as Vanguard/Crucible rep, rather than XP for doing those activities. Carry on.

maybe, but for me part of ptw is that you are at a competitive disadvantage if you don't do it as well.

I see absolutely no competitive disadvantage to some dickhead spending real money to level up his faction rep ever so slightly for 10 minute periods

A little bit of further digging suggests that it's something introduced in advance of ROI (which I preordered this morning; perhaps that has something to do with it).
