Got up to Crota last night with a crew, lost count of how many times we gave it ago, for a first timer not knowing what to expect the thralls in the first section were insane. Good fun first time around but can see how people compare it to VoG. Bridge def a lot of fun too. Can only image how crazy it would have been when you guys gave it a go together first time round.

Well I got 9 shards for my nightfall. That took me to 149 shards. Gee thanks RNGesus

When I solo the first two parts of the new raid (chest, drop, drop, chest) and all I end up with is 4 energy and 4 shards.

Wow What a night!

Got Starfire Protocol from nightfall my lock, two legendery primary engrams one being new scout rifle the other a new pulse. Got my Third Husk of the pit. Ran Crota raid in 45mins and got new raid helm which just looks amazing.

Still have to solo raid on my 28 hunter, and the ngihtfall aswell

Is Hard Light any good? I used it briefly last night and wanted to kill myself so I assume not. Didn't check the upgrades on it though.

I actually quite like it but I think it'd be more in the "**** around and have some fun" category rather than using it for any serious action.

Once I get my Warlock to 20 I've got the gear to get it to ~27 straight up. Just wish there was a way I could use my own Hunter to escort it in to cheese the first part Crota

As a Titan/Warlock all you need is a high jump and the sword to get over then once you're over wait for the ogres to spawn. Kill them and done. (On the other side the totems will start up once so watch out when they do. Run under it for a few seconds then get back to cover)

As a hunter you can get up to the roof of the building on the start side and just use ice breaker to snipe everyone. Ogres turn up, snipe them too. Jobs done

Now that I've done it both ways & know that I can, I personally have no qualms in taking the shortest options possible in such a monotonous (but addictive) game.

Have you done the whole thing legit though?

I get people taking shortcuts, but ideally you actually prove you can do the whole thing at some point.
