I striked to do the heroic strike on Earth on my own. I tried. I can't get past the first round of enemies because there are too many grenades and I can't get a shot in without getting zapped.

So I turned it off. Grrr.

I'm really enjoying parts of the game, but I don't see the need to zealously defend it. Mainly because most of the complaints that people are throwing at it are very valid issues or concerns.

The sum of its parts do not make for the game everyone wanted. But I still enjoy the gunplay, because it does reminds me of Halo and I haven't played a Halo game since Halo 3 in about 6-7 years.

Just saying that if there were a greater selection of AAA titles available at this time, Destiny would really be struggling for a player base and would probably be more universally viewed as a bit of a nothing shooter.

Trying to claim the game isn't hollow, to me, is denial.

Just tried the new Exotic Bounty Moon Strike.

Hardest ****ing thing ever. Knights/wizards have shields that are immune to everything except 1 element. Ie- you need solar damage to kill knights & arc to kill wizards.

The PVP loot lottery is another feature i despise. Last night our team gets flogged yet i outscore the entire lobby, do i get rewarded for carrying a bunch of scrubs? no, some guy that went 4-19 gets a chest piece with stats that absolutely shit on mine and the bloke that finished 2nd on our team, a good 1000 points behind me, gets a legendary engram

Joined another game got 4 kills in about 30 seconds before the match ended, got given a blue gauntlet engram and a decent auto rifle (blue engram turned out to be green tier rubbish) meanwhile the blokes who sat through the whole match got nothing, its just so horribly random and not really rewarding anything.

Whats the point of trying to do well when you could just sit in a corner and still get given a reward? (something i will try tonight for lols) I can see what they're trying to do, in making it so that the good players aren't just dominating with all the top gear every game but at least have some kind of requirement to be eligible for the loot at rounds end, whether it be minimum score based or have to be in the match for a certain amount of time.

Yeah have a mate who has more money than sense, he is buying all the platinum to build the space bridge to mine resources. The game has quite a bit of depth to the clan stuff

After this, my judgement (for better or worse) will steer me away from games that have a set lifespan before everything is shut down by the developer. I couldn't see this lasting 10 years in my collection.

Level 20 Warlock. Finished the story missions last night...

...and was a bit disappointed in the game overall, given the massive hype.

Clearly one of the best looking and sounding games I've played, but they relied way too much on Dinklebot to tell the story. Just needed more dialogue from other characters; thought they missed out on some good opportunities with The Speaker, The Queen and her bro and your mentors at the Tower.

Really enjoy rolling around with mates and doing strikes/patrols now.

Still no legendary gear though
