That Prison of Elders Hive Level where you have to dismantle mines has to be one of the most poorly designed things I've ever seen. Who's bright idea was it to have players forced to stand in a stationary position while under fire by Hallowed Wizards, who can kill you in 2-3 hits with a rapid fire attack. On top of that, they can tank not one, but TWO Gjallarhorn hits without dying.

Just a completely arbitrary, ridiculous difficulty spike that leads to frustration and wasted time.

That Prison of Elders Hive Level where you have to dismantle mines has to be one of the most poorly designed things I've ever seen. Who's bright idea was it to have players forced to stand in a stationary position while under fire by Hallowed Wizards, who can kill you in 2-3 hits with a rapid fire attack. On top of that, they can tank not one, but TWO Gjallarhorn hits without dying.

I enjoy the challenge personally. Just because you find it hard doesn't mean it's poorly designed

Yes it does. If you enjoy the challenge, keep it on the harder difficulty. It shouldn't be this difficult on level 32.

If you can't finish a level 32 PoE i'd consider trading the game in.

The section he's whinging about is deadset horrible if you're doing it underleveled.

It was the level 34 challenge in week 1 and I remember doing it as a 33. Was not pleasant, you basically need a Titan bubble or Invisi-Hunter for two of them.

It's actually the hardest section of the entire prison I'd say.

Let's see you try and stand in an open area with 2 powerful wizards capable of 2-shotting you. I'm sure with your skill, you'll be able to avoid it with ease and do it on your first try.

Except it's not. I beat the level 34 one last week as a level 33, and beat the 32 a couple of days ago at the same level. Today I tried the 32 again as a level 34 with maxed epic/exotic armor, and it's exactly the same as the 34 version. You still get 2-3 shotted by Wizard spamming.

Come on, let's see you do it. I'm interested to see you hone your made up skills for the middle mine.

And being 2 levels over/under is a big deal. Believe what you want though.

I've already done it.

My point is it's a stupid, frustrating difficulty spike, and shows Bungie lack understanding over a thing called balancing. If you're going to argue anything, give me a reason for why 1 specific level should be literally 20 times harder than every other level, bosses included.

Just make sure all of your team is using arc weapons and you have a good mix of each class. The hunter should be able to take car of the mines using invisible/super. Don't forget that hunters can also blink strike the mines.

Again, I've already done it. I already know Arc burn should be exploited, but even then it's easier said than done when you have about 7 thralls charging at you, along with two tank Wizards who kill you in less than a second and a bunch of Knights/other enemies shooting.

Right now I'm diverting my anger to the Iron Banner, which I hate, but it's the only way I can get some Etheric Light without waiting for the reset. Thanks Bungie.

Is there like an SANFL of crucible I can be dropped back to, to find form?

I don't see the point in praising the game here. If I'm happy, I'd rather be playing. When I get frustrated, I'm inclined to rant.

I don't like the Iron Banner because I'm almost always up against a fireteam of 5-6 running Hand Cannon/Shotgun and it's hard to do well. I can't be bothered getting a team myself because I like to play chill without needing to communicate via mic.

PVE is SANFL. PVP is the big leagues.

What ever happened to Mercenary Mode from CoD? They 100% had the right idea with that.

Iron Banner is literally unplayable unless you have (good) mates to team with, or you get a group from an LFG site. I just want some damn Etheric Light.
