Bad Juju bounty worth it? Was spamming vendor bounties to get an exotic bounty for Thorn before IB finishes, not sure if I can be stuffed grinding 25 strikes and then chipping away at the PvP part.
unlike the thorn pvp aspect- no death penalty.
Thorn is easier to get then the Juje. **** doing 25 strikes.
just spam weeklies for bonus

Think you'll find a lot more people have obtained the Juje compared to the Thorn. You don't have to be remotely good at crucible to get Bad Juju. Same can't be said about thorn.

Video at the top of this article is worth a watch. Nothing we didn't already know, but it's still kind of interesting.
that video was stupid. His entire premise boiled down to "this game is specifically designed to make you enjoy it, but uses science so that's bad".

What a joke. I mean, he even explicitly points out how Titanfall dropped off a cliff after a month because it DIDN'T use some of these techniques. Is that what he wants? His main gripe appears to be that if you want to play for an hour, there's something to do, if you want to play for a weekend, there's something to do. Well, how ****ing diabolical is that!

He also talks about WoW and the subscription fees, like that's ok.

Destiny is far from perfect, but having a sook that it is designed to make you want to play, and does so successfully, is just flat out stupid.

Oh noes, Bungivision have fleeced me of $140!! All I've got for it is about 1200 hours of enjoyment! What a rip-off!!

And they had the gumption to use science. I mean, how evil is that? And don't even get me started on a business expecting a return on a very large investment, that shit is whack!

Just spam the nightfall for Bad Juju, counts as 3 I think? I use it on Shores of Time a lot, people are far enough away and it gets you your super really quick.
Have you tried that on a warlock using Obsidian Mind? I've always wanted to give that a crack but have never gotten around to it.

In PVE yeah, its off chops. First time I tried it was the first part of the crota raid, its legit nova bombs for days.
I'd like to know how that combo would go for PVP. I've used it for PVE with success, but haven't heard anything about it for crucible.

then again you can still technically make progress maintaining a kd of over just 0.4. (Apparently) which isn't completely ridiculous.

However at that rate it would take a considerable amount of time. But so would Bad Juju...

If you're capable of hitting 0.5 KD then you're capable of getting Thorn. If your K/D is 0.5 I'd say that you're not remotely good at the game.

Which is why I find it laughable when I'm playing Rumble and you find people grinding/farming/cheating the bounty. It's just easy kills and I'll make it my mission to ruin their day.

Bad Juju adds more for each kill, and the kills with nova bomb counts towards your next, its just the killing of the minions of the darkness that doesn't count (which is kinda big). If you aren't getting 3+ kills each time with your nova bomb then its pretty much pointless. I'd rather run the skull for unstoppable/harder to kill.

I remember when my primary was my atheons for my thorn bounty, still managed to go positive :dasit:

Did my first one with Atheon's, a Void Wizard/77 and Truth.

Did my second one in about 6-7 games with a Shotgun+Corrective Measure.

Seriously at the point of being in the midst of some sort of weird limbo with Destiny lately. Regularly miss it & feel like playing it, but then when I do I'm pretty much over it and feel like doing something else within an hour or so.

Must be coming down and having side effects from breaking the addiction or something. Who knows how I'm going to feel by the time the next part drops. Still so far away.

PvP is where it's at. It's the only genuine exciting/frustrating/rewarding (in the moral sense) aspect left in the game. I'm sure once a new raid drops, it'll all come back, but as it stands I think everyone is with you in the sense of VoG & CE being kind of boring now. I'll always have a soft spot for the Vault, purely based on all be blood, sweat and tears we shed as a team in that place. Prison of Elders however, has the re-playability of a tangled kite.

Most of us are playing other games now anyway, as a complement to Destiny. I played through Last of Us, about to start Batman and just ordered The Witcher.

Yeah that's it. It doesn't really help that a lot of the times I've jumped on lately no one else has seemed to really be on (Tuesday nights are still good) & also the fact that House of Wolves DLC as a whole hasn't exactly set the world on Fire.

Been meaning to dip into PvP but it's just starting that's the toughest step haha. Agree that a new raid & different (not backward levels) content would spice things up. Probably is a good chance to catch up on some backlog though & even check out a few new games I've wanted to get.

Getting through the backlog has been great. Still got Pokemon Ruby (the new one) and Smash Bros to play.

You're right, Tuesday nights are still good, but beyond that, there's not much destiny happening. If you ever feel like getting into PvP, I'm always happy to play. :)
