Collins, 69, revealed he was pulling the pin at the end of the year.

"I'll be 70 by then. There's a few of us who are 70 this year - David Parkin, Ian Collins and Wes Lofts. We've all worked together at one stage or another," he said.

"I don't know what I'm going to do, but I've been in footy since 1961 in one way or another, and enjoyed every moment of it.

Wouldn't be suprised if the prick enjoyed preventing Chris Grant from winning his brownlow.

Will be glad to see the back of this bloke.

I wonder if the Hun will post the comment I made on their site about the article? Just a nice send off message....

Can't believe this old **** had the temerity to suggest Grant may/should have copped three weeks.

If I saw him crossing the street, I'm not sure I'd slow down.

Smug old bastard. Clearly cut from the Carlton cloth.

I'm not sure I'd slow down either- but only because I'm damned sure I'd speed up.

No, not really. Being sympathetic to a rancid old fool I'd only hit him as hard as the blow that robbed Grant of his Brownlow.

I wish i was old enough to actually seen Chris Grants "brownlow" season
damn my young age back then!

I went to every Vic game that year. He was in true superstar form that year. Pure Dominance.
Was a pleasure to watch and I will no doubt be telling my 2yo about watching Grant when he is old enough.

On the Collo note, I wouldn't be too worried if he completely dropped off the face of the earth (I'd gladly give him the push too)

Only a matter of time m'boy. Perhaps not quitting, but she'll be on the scrapheap soon.

Good lord.. does that mean Gillard will be giving Macca a call about that FF position should she be be given the boot from the leadership ??

Collins = absolute scum.

I would have no hesitation is speeding up and hitting him at full force. You won't be missed you miserable, cheating old so and so.

Chris Grant has more integrity in his little finger than that piece of trash has in his whole body.

Amazing to think he had moral concerns with Grant's hit, yet no such moral concerns as he sat and watched Carlton's rampant salary cap abuse when he was at the club through the 80s and early 90s.

Funny that.

It's gonna be worth the admission price to the Doggies game after the sad F*** eventually passes away to hear the 'sabotaged with justice' moment of *cough* silence.. from some disgruntled Doggies fans.. go for it.. stick it to him.. I don't think many 'everyday fan with knowledge' would mind..

now,how good would the timing be if he passed away in the lead up to the Carlton game?

If my memory serves me correctly ... in the game that led to Grant's suspension he was simply stunning - powerful and aggressive.
At half Kevin Bartlett, who was calling the game on radio, was in awe of Grant and described how opposition players were getting out of his way.

Grant was amazing when in full flow and has more humility and honour in his little finger than most of the 'hereos' of the AFL have in total.

As for Collins ... good riddance to a blight on the game

I know this is your board but Collins is a flog in general and especially for the Chris Grant incident.

Edit by Unotuchable: A little overboard with the cursing. Keep it slightly cleaner next time.
