Another big win by Ormond yesterday. Definitely flag favourites. Sam "beagle" Bailey scoring 6. This young kid could be anything. Straight out of u19s and a special talent. When people accuse me of being over ppositive of Ormond rising through the ranks I point out kids like this who are the cream of the crop in the catchment area. He and the Levine brothers and a few others just coming through the system nicely. Harrison Ross and Jackie Mason are superb players. Also, Ormond are a club of such high reputation that they can pick up players like James Tsakonas who snagged 4. Mason "Baron" Thatcher is another beauty from St Peters. So, we recruit as we are the local club of choice while Glen Eira are going to fade away.
Oakleigh won again with Luke Ashen kicking a lazy 5. Remember I predicted he would kick 120 this year. Well, he is on target.
Old Peninsula and Kew are also looking the business. Very high scoring on a warm day. William Llewelyn kicked a half dozen.

Oh Bedders, you are such a negative Neilly. I didn't want to spread hyperbole or rumours like you have. You live in such a negative space as well. We won't know how bad James Tsakonas's knee is till he has a scan and an MRI. So stop spreading things till we really know!
But we, at Ormond have a next man up philosophy. And with our great youth policy, there will be another young boy ready or perhaps Liam Gorden Shore will come back to fill the important role until James is ready again.

Really Bedders, because I am always totally positive about Ormond, and I can definitely see the light of them growing exponentially as a club and rising through the ranks. And that starts this year when we win Div 1.

Anyone who knows me, or reads my posts, knows I am for the small clubs in the elitist system that is the VAFA. I am from a small club, and I know how hard it is to push against the system. Especially when your best juniors are getting poached all the time. You feel like belting your head up against a wall.
