Get yourself down to E E Gunn this weekend. 1 vrs 3. Ormond are only a few games away from a perfect season but not Near Kew will pose their own challenges. Kew already has a win over OP and while the Monders beat them by 5 goals last time at Vicky Park, it was only in the last quarter that we scooted away. I'm tipping a tight tough top shelf game with the Monders to be the last men standing on the final whistle. Big Reggan Smith, Lachie James and Harry Brown might have other ideas. Anyway, the salad rolls are fresh and the pies are first class, so you can't go wrong. There will be a lot that goes on in this game. It will have major implications for the finals.

Hi marklurking, we won't celebrate until we take the photo with the winning premiership flag.

Heard it was amazing game yesterday at EE Gunn! Two young and skilful sides. Should be an interesting finals series. 2025 marks 10 years since Kew, led by mighty Ian Aitken, beat Ormond in the GF. Could they meet again on the same day?

Once Captain Hardwick did his knee the Ormond back 6 was to 18yo, 2 19's 1 20 and 1 22 yo and hung on , Kew just kept coming and were very stiff in the end with a mark a second before the siren in the forward half . OP v Kew next week

Oaks level withy Preston on % next week Oakleigh a certainty at home v Monash and Preston have UHS who are in great form
Oakleigh’s forward line in hot form with the big talls dominating OP.

We couldn’t match Preston and their mids dominating the whole game giving us no chance.

Was the mark not paid in your game ?? Abit of Controversy??

He loves paying a free kick for Kew inside their forward 50.
Jesus Christ, you're really singling out what one club's Ressies umpire when literally every club affiliated umpire somewhat favours their own side? Crikey you guys need to get a grip.

What A GAME, Ormond vrs Kew. It could be the game of the season. E E Gunn was humming. A lot of sweat whipped off the brows oof the home team supporters when the final siren sang and the Monders season was still undefeated. Kew was brave. It was fantastic goal for goal footy in the last quarter. Kew had a last chance at the 30-minute mark but it was not to be. Well done to all players on both sides for putting on a fantastic display of our great game of Aussie Rules.

Do what I do, make club umpires officiate each others forward line. Less chance of giving own club goals.

In the time I performed that role in the Eastern league and in WA (10+ years), the standard practice was to do one end then swap ends at half time so that you were doing your club's backline in the last quarter.

Saved a lot of issues when games got tight. Imagine how easy it would be for "those types of club umpire" to give a 50 in the forward line for dissent and spoil a good game.

This ressies ump at Kew has history every 50/50 goes Kews way , one day he did the 19's then the 2nds and it was so bad the bias . We are now using a teenager who is really going well and getting more confident every week and good on him , he was baffled by the kew bloke
