3 x 100 point wins on the weekend - the bottom three are some way off unfortunately. Top half looking a bit healthier with great results for Brunswick and Kew.

Assuming Preston keep up the form and make the grand final - very interested to see how they go next year in C. Pretty staggering that Ormond and Old P are on the bottom of the table.

Ormond with a massive retirements due to injury, most of those missed the finals , but some great kids in for the future , whatever happens

Wouldn't be shocked to see no relegation this year with an expanded D1 and D2, given OYC are looking at the EFNL. 12 team D1 and 12 team D2 (11 if anyone else leaves).

I believe Hawthorn might be eyeing off a move as well.
I have been told they have a healthy bank balance and do not struggle for sponsors.
Might be a good move considering they are surrounded by Prem A and B clubs.

Where would they go, and who would accept them? Reasonably central location, (a lot further west than the likes of OYC and Bullen Templestowe for eastern, a lot further south than Ivanhoe and Parade in the northern), tiny ground (compared to most of the EFNL and NFNL grounds) and extremely hard for them to charge entry to cover costs.

For me Therry to the EDFL would be more likely.

Not sure, but EFNL has their fair share of small grounds so it won't be out of place in that comp.

I'm obviously not as across the EFNL as much as most but all the grounds I've seen there are about 40% bigger than Rathmines, which is a small cricket ground, let alone football.

None as small as Albert Park , they need to merge as well

Haven’t heard this one. My perception (which might well be wrong) was that Hawthorn are generally happy to find their level and be a point of difference to the abundance of Premier clubs in that patch. Finding the right comp might be a challenge. While geography is not a critical factor, ideally they are to far west for the EFL, to far south for the EDFL and to far north for the SFL.

You've clearly never been to Forest Hill, Nunawading and Silvan just a name a few. Eastern have a heap of tiny decks.
VAFA have many more big grounds.

Whilst they would be the most western team they are only 3.5 ks from Balwyn

The finals race could be quite close this season, it looks like there are 7 teams with a chance

Brunswick are playing some great footy just beat oakleigh and went to the line against Preston but aren't in the top 5

Kew battered with injuries will only get better

Saint Mary's out of the 4 on %

Kew are a good team battling a lot of injuries they will 100% break some opposition hearts during the second half of the year.
Oakleigh are a far better team than Brunswick. Someone mentioned they’re playing with half a team and a lot of young talent due to injuries.
I’m excited to see how Oakleigh and st Mary’s go against each other.

Preston are flying high. Always a good canteen there

haha sure Oakleigh are a far better side than Nobs. Every single team has injuries and omissions, it’s D1 in the VAFA. They do have a lot of big mouths though, it was great to see them sat squarely on their ass in the 3rd quarter.

You think your Gerard Wheatley pal, know all of everything and yeah Oakleigh at 1/2 time were very chirpy coming off the ground. Might have a bit more respect they play us next time ‘eh
i praised you ffs .The proper Brunswick were a tough opponent back in the day , not f wits
