Bit of a blue at Albert Park on the weekend? Bloke from work went to watch a mate and said there was a huge dust up and supporters were involved.

He is a kiwi so may be completely clueless, anyone witness it? Apologies if I'm way off the mark.

I was there as a spectator, got a bit heated at half time on the fence, a couple of people got involved, lasted about 2 minutes, no further issues for the rest of the game

Was just a good game of hard contested footy with a minor spot fire before 3/4 time

Will echo that. The scuffle was on the fence line right in the middle of the interchange box and had a heap of supporters (including myself) camped right behind, however it was pretty minor and everyone parted to get on playing footy relatively quickly.

Another good game of footy down at Ross Gregory.

Predictions for this week.

Aquinas over Souths- 12 points
Powerhouse over UHS- 12 points
Glen Eira over La Trobe- 1 point
Albert Park over Elsternwick- 24 points
Hawthorn over Parkside- 60 points
Canterbury over Swinburne- 24 points

Four right last week. Shows how little I know.

Canterbury over Aquinas- 1 point
UHS over Parkside- 36 points
Hawthorn over Elsternwick- 30 points
South Melbourne over Albert Park- 18 points
Glen Eira over Powerhouse- 30 points
La Trobe over Swinburne- 1 point

Some shockers around in D3 from memory Hawthorn, Swinburne Elsterwick - no idea about Canterbury but Latrobe was great but heavy.
Which Div 3 has the best ground and facilities?

Haven't been to them all just yet, can I let you know in September ;)... Can rule-out the ones mentioned above, and I can't imagine anything spectacular comes out of the Albert Park turf (South Melb, Powerhouse, AP).

I must say I find this quite entertaining.

I'll have a punt this week seeing as I'm now familiar with quite a few teams in this Div.

Canterbury to beat Aquinas - 8 goals
Hawthorn to beat Elsternwick - 6 goals
Glen Eira Gryphons to beat Powerhouse - 10 goals
Albert Park to beat South Melbourne - 1 goal (Match of the round, Albert Park seem to produce tight games)
Swinburne over La Trobe - 4 goals
UHS-VU over parkside - 10 goals

Apologies for the GE/Gryphons stab, seems to be the hot topic at the minute and I couldn't help myself.

went and watched the glen eira gryphons demolish powerhouse today
They looked pretty good, looked like a team who could be in division 2

We did have 3-4 out but no excuses, Aquinas looked a much better side than their early season form suggested. Huge challenge this week against the rampaging Glen Eira Snt-Gryphons, hopefully our boys can bounce back at snake-pit.

Hawthorn must be disappointed not to get their 3rd 100+ point in in as many weeks, it was there for the taking from the looks of it.

Strolled down to Albert Park Lake again to watch South Melbourne go down to their feathered rivals in Albert Park on a lovely, albeit windy Saturday afternoon. Have got to say the Falcons are getting better each week and their game plan is clearly starting to be bought into by the players. Their game style is obvious and to be honest, pretty basic, but it seems to be working. South Melbourne challenged on a few occasions but Albert Park kept them at an arms length and really never looked too troubled.

South seemed pretty upset at the umpiring but from a neutral point of view, I thought the calls were pretty even and I'd be disappointed if it came out as an excuse for the loss.

Massive last quarter by the Hawks on the weekend....did that flatter the result or were they that much better the entire day??

Pretty windy day on Sportscover Arena. Both sides kicking for goal was a bit wasteful. We kicked a lot straighter in the last...
