Aren't there only 1-2 BHN players at Donny that played senior footy? Chivers is the only one I know by name, he is a solid player. Donny is a strange scapegoat

If anyone relies on club updates on FB then they're in the stone age. Most have a message group with the coach and captain etc updating the boys.

Donny had a crack at every player with a pulse in the area.

Why should 2 teams with seperate identities and history merge just because they’re close by and in a lower division.

To survive, a bit of a compromise is better than having no club at all

Perhaps EP might move to the vacant BHN ground.The rooms at BHN are new and EP, they are terrible.

It helps that they are both in the same council. If I was in EP's position, I would be on the phone to Whitehorse CC.

Not vacant, but also not being being fully utilised. 4 masters teams that play every second weekend do not require the exclusive use of two ovals. BHN Masters can use the West Oval. EP can use the East Oval.

So the question would then be why did those players leave?

Of course she wouldn't be happy with that outcome. Any football club with a women's side has to be careful with such matters now. Some women just aren't comfortable with that behaviour

Not sure if you are aware but there are photos online that aren't blurred. The guy was was covered in some kind of brown/black bodyspray, including his face...with a 38 inch **** hanging from his waist.

I think the suspension length was harsh on some of them but the clubs response to the women's captain is pissweak. As if anyone aggrieved by the situation was going to cop those blokes getting a warning.

Mate, get your mind out of the gutter, Mr Williams is a huge kirby fan and wanted to dress up as his favourite boss Whispy Woods ft pinocchio.


Anyway once the bottom feeder clubs figure out that VAFA is no good for them and eventually move to other leagues like the JOCS did, they'll find peace and comfort.

Does anyone know if a merger between BHN and EP was ever considered? Its baffling to me that both clubs have been in the bottom rung for so long, co-existing a stones throw away from each other. Surely the Box Hill North Sharks would have been a better outcome. Surprised even 1 of them still exists at any level.

Merger with South Yarra (who actually play in North Balwyn) would also be worth looking at.

SY also chronically starved of success and recently dropped back into thirds.

Also a ticket into SFNL, where a merged club might be successful. AFL Vic would surely only let a merged BHN/EP go to EFNL, where they would be flogged.

Well well well ... looks like the VAFA f*cked BHN harder than I thought.

BHN were told all divisions had an even number of teams and therefore couldn't fit us in.

Just had a look at the whole VAFA fixture and it's laughable. You've got just 2 matches in Div 3 while one team is forced to rest (instead of weekend training on an undermanned BHN)

How is winning a flag there going to feel like anything more than a participation trophy a real wooden spoon feeling though, as you'd be the only club to miss finals.

Then you've got the old ex Div3 faithfuls Swinburne, Eley, Masala, Chadstone playing their 'seniors' and 'ressies' in Thirds div 5 & 7 respectively trying to mix with actual Thirds clubs.

Its a bit unfortunate that BHN didn't get a shot at Thirds but the request needed to be made much earlier than 1 month ago as these mid to lower Thirds fixtures look solid and the Thirds Divisions you mentioned would likely thump the current BHN by 200+ so they've got no place to slot in.

So glad the JOCS have moved on from this mess of a league

In all fairness Swinny, EP, Masala and Chaddy were at best D4 quality.. Sending them to the slaughter due to clubs leaving from higher grades was the issue

Visited after seeing some interesting news from VAFA

Yeah pretty good so far, we are 2 from 2 and it looked like a few ex Box Hill North players in our opposition side. Easy win!
