Dixon dissapointing AGAIN!

Dixon's loyalty to the Hawks should be repaid by giving him a good send-off this season.

Let's not kid ourselves, we are not serious Premiership contenders this season.

We have a good core, and some good kids coming through, but we are not there yet.

Pretty much all of our forwards were lacking today. Our delivery into the forward line was abysmal. If the mid-fielders can't kick to a lead, then they should be the focus, not Dixon.

There seem to be a lot of trigger happy people in this forum, if you guys ran the club we would have a revolving door policy with no soul in the club.

Agree Phil! No one can pay out our fowards today! The delivery gives the fowards the oppurtunity, and we didnt have good delivery!

No one can pay out the forwards! Crap ask Roughie wether he should of goaled from 15-20m out on 150-200k / year. Get real we could of been up there in a number of games if our forwards did not miss easy goals.

How many chances does this guy get? He has been dissapointing all year and now is the time for HIM to go to Box Hill for a few games. Before any of you say we will need his experience when finals come, you are all kidding yourselves. Dicko is very improtant to us forward and gives the young kids leadership so we need him in the seniors. Dont wory about last week we were all ove the place with Croad forward putting us of the game, well do better next week with budy back and Mitch back and Dicko will kick 4 goals for us for sure.

Last week it was Matty Little,this week Benny Dixon.You negative guys need to stop looking in the rear vision mirror and concentrate on our improvement this year.I would say every player that has played this year has improved on last year except for probably.Dicko,Jacobs and Guerra.I am just glad we have improved from last year and at the start of the season i thought we would be knocking on the finals door and would have been happy with that at seasons end.

Haven't been a fan of Dixon, so this is not a scapegoat effort.. I am not criticizing Dixon just for this game. Seriously, when did the last guy have a good game? My memory goes back to the game where he kicked a goal after the siren against Carlton - or maybe I'm being selective. Fact is, he just doesn't do enough! I didn't see much leading or hard work from Dixon, he doesn't seem to create a contest or hold the ball up in the forward fifty, he doesn't seem to organize our attack that much either. So what does he do?

totally agree, Dixon was once reliable for 2 or 3 goals a game, and even though delivery has not been great to our forwards, he provides little forward pressure or presence and should perhaps be relegated to the 2nds in order to deserve a spot on the forward line. Playing AFL footy isn't a right, it's a privilege.

He was voted as the "Best player of the finals series." And in one game over the ensuing years before his retirement, I saw him dominate and in-form Richo (the tiges) at the MCG. A tremendous off-field clubman. Very contentious post this one. go the MIGHTY HAWKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nick Holland was rated just below Carey for 4 - 5 years.
He was among the leading contested marks during that time.

It was only his dodgy shoulders that ruined his last 3 years.

I neva saw much of Nick coz he had been injured and out of form for so long. Was he really this good? I have read good things about him on this site, but my dad rekons he counldt kick and had no footy brain and was the most overpaid and selfish player eva.
