Hmmmph! That's what other people have told me! Got me paranoid now.

Haha ... don't hide it ... you chicks have a radar when it comes to guys 'looking' at you! :D

They're just trying to check out your arse. ;)

I'd offer my seat, and have done so in the past. I help women with prams off buses, etc. It's not hard to be a nice pearson, actually. I don't know if I'm a gentleman, because I can be a prick at times, but in general I'd consider myself a good natured person.

The Hitman

LIAR!
Is this the same Hitman that got a grilling from an elderly man on a tram one day for not offering his seat?
HAHA...Hitman, your a sh*t bloke and definately not a gentleman.

Me on the other hand, im one of the nicest blokes you'll meet. Atleast my mum says so....;)

In my mind, that is the key - it is about showing respect to your fellow man/woman.

Exactly - respect is the perfect word. Simply treating people the way you would like to be treated. And I don't think it applies just for men, for example I would always offer my seat to a pregnant woman, or someone on crutches or elderly, because all three of those scenarios could well be me one day, and I'd hope someone would show me the same courtesy if the roles were reversed. :)

I can vouch for ya too Dan, I do remember one time when we were on a tram together and you helped that old guy with his ticket and you were very polite about it. :)

We are reading a book in English called "Stories of Manhood" with the majority of the class being male. The teacher is always saying pathetic comments like "Women are only good for doing dishes and cleaning after us men" etc etc....at first I could handle it and the remarks afterwards by the males in the class, but now it just shlts the hell outta me!

I am no feminist, as my friend is always fighting against them and I just laugh and dont know why she bothers, but why does it have to be such a big deal? On Friday, we were reading lyrics by Propagandhi, and the title calls women wimmin, because they dont want anything to do with males!! Get over it I say

If a guy offers his seat up, ill say thanks but i seriously dont know why you would dwell on it, its like thinking about tying your shoelace after you've done it!

Wow that felt good, must be the anger from the freo/ess game today.

One more thing, all you females that are so anti men, why bother constantly dwelling over it and making it rule your lives, why dont you just go live on an island by yourselves and become extinct

Such wisdom, from such an acute mind.

I lost a job in radio, because a woman I worked with took exception to me saying that I'm more interested in what men and women have in common, rather than what separates them. She assumed I was a mysoginist.

We are all in this together, no matter what our plumbing looks like.

PP can vouch for me yesterday. An old man, who I let go infront of me at the gate, told me that it is nice to see that gentleman like me still exist today.

I've got youse all beat with the niceness...hell...a guy that looks like me must be pretty nice to have a girlfriend! :p

Possibly, but it also depends on what that girl looks like..;)

As for the topic....i will hold a door open for someone if they look like they would appreciate it. I will offer my seat to an elderley or disabled person if they look like they need it.

The other day at Knox, there was a mum and she had a couple of kids with her. They had Helium baloons and I was walking past when one of the little girls let hers go and it went up to the roof.....she almost started crying when she realised none of them could get it...anyway. They started walking off and I jumped up and got the balloon down for them (must have been at least 15 ft high....;) ) and then ran after them and gave it to the girl. Was worth the little bit of effort it took me just to see the big smile on her face.

So yeah, even small gestures can make a big difference to somebody's day. If everyone tried to do 1 nice thing each day...the world could be a much nicer place.:)
