Do we elevate another rookie?

With Walsh out for the year, he should be put on the LTI, so do we elevate another rookie? Are there any that could be AFL ready?

Only elevate them if they're going to be used, either in the 22 or as an emergency.

The next cabs off the rank look to be Jesse White, Jed Lamb and Jake Lloyd - Lloyd obviously being rookie listed. I think it is free to elevate a rookie at this stage of the season (welcome corrections if not so) so the club may do it if someone on the senior list is a write-off in 2013.

A month ago I would have said no way but if Ted or Reg gets injured he would have to be. It's either him or Jesse White to play key defence. Not that Xav would not be earning that spot on merit

Xavier at the age of 19 playing KPD would make me very, very nervous, despite the good things we've been hearing from the reserves watchers. Alex Johnson is an exception to the rule that young tall defenders struggle badly.

Sam Reid, once fit, would be my choice to play in defence if we get another injury down back.

As we've said, lord help us if Ted or Reg go down.

I'd assume his status is the same technically as Walsh's, so yeah I'd say we'll be able to.
