Remember the 1987 (i think ) season when Wallace crossed over from Hawthorn in a much publisied move, he was touted as almost something as a messiah. A player who could inject much needed talent to our club during the beggining of our lean patch. He had some shocking from and the coach at the time dropped him to the seconds. As I remember, wallaces ego and arogance got in the way and he walked out on us as how dare we drop him, regardless of his lack of form. Is it possible that we are seeing some sort of convoluted revenge on his part? think about it. After finishing last in 07 we finished 9th last year, so even if we do finish last we have stuffed our chances of priority picks this year. Next year forget it GC17 gets the cream of the draft. So that leaves the next coach between a rock and a hard place when it comes to rebuilding our list.
and now with no real hope and as a lame duck coach. He refuses to do the right thing by us and step down.

It's a conspiracy theory, his getting back on us for 22 years ago. I knew their was something else going on !

I'm not convinced that the right thing to do is to stand down (yet), but I do think he needs to do something different like come out all guns blazing and say

"I and everyone else associated with the RFC are sick of the pathetic efforts put in by the players this year and they should be ashamed of themselves for letting everyone down."

"They are a disgrace to the jumper and there will be sweeping changes this week to punish those who did not put in 100%."

"If any of the players wants to put in another half arsed effort like that I will see to it personally that they will never play AFL football again."

"I am sick of seeing the coaching staff of the RFC crucified because the players refuse to do the simplest of football skills like chasing their opponent and being first at the ball."

If that does not have any effect whatsoever then he may as well resign 1-2 weeks from now.

trouble is I dont think that he himself has the passion for the jumper. To him this is just a job, and if he really doesnt have the passion for how can you expect the players to have the passion for the Richmond Football Club
