Never had anything to do with glossy magazine publications but like most of the Members, mine arrived yesterday.

The thing that stood out is not a mention of Harvey anywhere in the mag.

This points a little bit more about who knew what and when. Otherwise surely our Coach (during the publication period) would have at least a photo if not some sought of editorial considering it is the 'Final Siren Edition'.

I like a good conspiracy theory and looking at the magazine and seeing nothing of Harvey you could almost be thinking the time line The Steves would have us believe is not the truth the whole truth.

The accompanying letter from CEO Rosich is dated 5th September when he apparently has a pretty good idea about what the contents is.

I'd be very disappointed to find out we have lied to.

Having worked in media production it's not hard to edit things prior to release in a very short period of time :P It's probably been reworked since the news broke.

If I was FFC, I would have taken it out as well - not out of disrespect to Harvey but because it's still a sensitive topic.

No doubt. But if the mag was reworked and 35,000 copies printed and posted on Friday when the sacking happened on Thursday. Well that's pretty bloody good.

I agree it would be in everybody's interest not to have too much of Harvey in the mag. Nothing is a bit too little.

You beat me to it dugrene... I was just about to make exactly the same point. I wonder when it went to print? I got mine today, but if you got yours yesterday then there's some seriously slick editors and printers being employed by Freo.

I suggest they hire the same guys to do the membership packs next season!

Mabey I got mine today. Sometimes mail sits on the table and I'm not sure when it arrived.
Somehow I'm convinced it was yesterday but if no one else got theirs on Monday that i'd be wrong.

Something more must have happened behind closed doors that we will probably never know (for at least 5-10 years)

Damn good job of them getting edited, printed and sent out

None of the pages have had updated articles 'stuck on' over the top? It happens from time to time with glossies

I know for a fact the board did not meet until Thursday morning in regards to Harvey. No conspiracy theories out there.

Well we had just lost 7 in a row - that's enough to flatten anybody.

Certainly flattened any excitement I was feeling about next season at the time.

Seriously, does it matter.

Ross the Boss is now in charge, Harves will pursue a gig over East, and we will surge up the ladder.

Exciting times ahead :thumbsu:

100% agree.

As for the rest. I tend to check for I's not dotted and T's not crossed.

The magazine landing so early after what would have to have been some major re editing tells me our Club was prepared for what transpired.

The Steves it seems are good at I's and T's also.

Yeh.. but it kinda sounded like a postmortem IMHO. Not something that I remember seeing this time last year. I just found the whole interview a bit weird... especially the last few minutes when Robbo asked if and how much Harvey wanted to coach Freo next year.

After initially being quite miffed about them sacking Harvey, i can't help but think it must have been for a good reason (one that we might not be privy to). My main concern now is that Ross Lyon's game plan/s didn't really involve a lot of scoring ... and if my memory serves me correct St Kilda couldn't get the ball past the half-forward line in the GF and when it did, it bounced back quickly. I just hope we get a good forward line coach!

We have a far better team than the Saints do - especially taking in to account the potential improvement of our younger players

We have a great spine and great wingers - better than the saints

We just need the rest of the squad to stand up and be counted - work as one unit like the saints have done in the past before the wheels came off
