Clearly a racist culture has developed at Fremantle and I hope all players and staff involved are suspended for a very long time.

I don’t know why WA Today doesn’t go to town on Perthnow.com.au and their news corp partners The Daily Telegraph (in which this story is currently the main headline, obviously they love reporting anything negative about AFL to Sydney readers) and Fox Sports for beating this non-event into something that it was clearly not.

Fremantle FC should demand an apology from News Limited and Justin Chadwick in Adelaide who seems to have wrote the original KKK article and the Sunday Times newsroom in Perth for such disgraceful "journalism"!

Edit: Scum bucket reporter Glen Foreman from the Sunday Times is the original muckraking "journalist" who wrote the original beat up.

This one was utter rubbish! The media have enough ammunition on the shockers for years to come, No reason to hype up this crap!

Its still on all the bulletins in Melb.
Note Sports tonight are using it in their promo's as we speak.
They show pictures of young blokes who dont look like KKK yet say it anyway:confused:

That said. How dumb is Malaxos to suggest it and not think there might not be some sort of storm to follow????

Does anybody else think that perhaps Malaxos deliberately dropped the KKK reference as a planned attempt to deflect attention away from the dockers on field performances? Maybe I'm too cynical but I find it hard to believe that anybody in his position could be so stupid as to allude that his players dressed as KKK members.

Wally would be pleased.

It seems the worst job in the world these days is to be an AFL footballer.

Dockers are fine, Boris the chicken wasn't that bad, Shaw and Thomas didn't deserve a suspension.

Meanwhile Bock come straight in off a token suspension and the AFL is quiet as a mouse. Does anybody else find it ironic that a parody of violence against women has been more "outrage" fodder for the media than an actual alleged case?

The media has to be very careful as branding players can mess them up mentally. To suggest any racist connotation here in the Freo case via the KKK is a disgrace.

Are the press getting more and more desperate for stories or what?

Steve Malaxos is absolute tool. Why he would come out in the press about the club he is employeed in and state they were dressed in KKK outfits started all this garbage. He should be banned by Freo from the press altogether or get rid of him for complete and utter stupidity.

He started it and the club finished it by handing over the facts (the photos).

You might have an angle there for Freo to knock this one on the head. Now that the KKK/racist connotations have been clearly refuted, the media have no reason or right to continue on that line. If they want to play up a silly prank, so be it, but to associate Foster and Hinkley with racism must be bordering on slander.
