I'm sure that you've all been taught before you could even walk:D so let me in on the secret because I'm sitting around my brother's flat looking after the cat whilst he's on holiday & I've just spotted one of the mothers in the corner & after a few unsuccesful attempts I realise that I need a bit of direction if I'm going to get any sound out of it.

So come on what's the secret?

If you have ever played a brass instrument it shouldn't be a problem, you have to make like a raspberry sound as you blow. Which I can manage from years of trumpet playing - the circular breathing though is a whole other story so I can't help you out there. I have almost swallowed my tongue trying it and then passing out from a coughing fit!!! Useless at it.

it is very hard to do - circular breathe that is.

try practising without a didj.

(1) fill your mouth with air

(2) force air out thru pursed lips

(3) at same time as (2) - inhale air into lungs thru nose.

Like I said , do this without the didj - even try using a straw and a glass of water.
