It’s ok to disagree My opinion is that he should never been given a contact for the this year and that his motive to try to get to 300 is based on his own personal goals and not the teams. All good

Agree and this is why the talk of giving Betts another contract is nuts.. Betts is keeping Owies out of the team today, and honey prior to that.

Sure. Not a good look to come in and beat your chest that your opinion is the only one that matters because you've played the game at some level.

We have a wide range of posters here including women and disabled who never had the opportunity to play the game. That doesn't make their opinions invalid, nor does it mean yours is more valid than theirs.

I have no issue having Murphy get to 300 games as medical sub. Still counts and doesn't really deprive a youngster of any game time tbh.

He will be in the starting lineup for game 300 , only question is whether it is next week or the last round.

I have a sneaky feeling it will be in the last round to coincide with Betts playing 350.

Don’t think Matthews would get to this scenario we’re in tbh..I highly doubt Matthews would have tolerated our efforts against the Eagles and North, carrying an unfit Martin 6 weeks ago, having 8 goals to 1 kicked against us, etc...

When I look back at this season, it will be those 3 or 4 bad games I will remember as missed opportunities. Not that the CLUB has chosen to play an experienced player like Murphy as a sub instead of a first year player as a sub.

Leigh was one of the grouchiest coaches I've seen. Made regular Half time appearances at Lion Cubs games if listed players weren't performing. Would get out of his car, storm into the huddle, blow a fuse then leave.

Yep. If your gonna carry a guy to 300 may as well do it properly. Pretty embarrassing for Murph to be honest.

You have to assume they told him he'd be getting to 300 via the medical sub. Have to also assume he agreed to it. Looks like he's not enjoying it, but he could've just said no.
