Peake's name has been brought up a few times and in a few threads. Apparently he wants to go to Melbourne. Great, but what value is he? On most team lists I would think Peake would simply be taking up space a young bloke with more potential could fill. Speedy midfielders with poor skills and decision making, who run sideways and fall over a lot aren't in big demand at most clubs. 4th round pick in a shallow draft? As a 'sweetner' with Drum? Just let him go the pre-season so he can accurately gauge what his value is?

So we're getting rid of Hinkley too then? I would be stoked if that was the case.

I remember Bomber Peake's helicopter entry into Geelong......no doubt his son will be expecting the same VIP treatment........unfortunately for Brett it will be a case of once bitten twice shy for the good folk at least down Geelong way!

Saying that anyone could look good with the likes of Selwood, Corey, Bartel and Ablett feeding you the ball 24/7!.....

Package deal for Saints 1st Rounder which looks like either Picks 14,15,16 or 17.
Tarrant and Peake for 1st Rounder

Pick 4-Morabito
Pick ?-Jetta
Pick 20-Black

Could Peake just be a year or two behind the rest of the world in maturity (not unheard of for kids from WA who are pushed straight in to a sports career from high school) and if we let him go an other club might get 2 - 3 devasting years out of him? He is quick and he can kick goals from outside 50.

If Peake leaves he will have a impact at anothr club, mark it down.
Hopefully he stays because as the team gets better so will he.

Dissapointing if he is traded.

This is almost the same as a down hill skier. I don't think we need players that improves as the team improves. We need players that will improve the team.

That so many of our young players are in front of Peake at the selection table is a real indictment of his abilities.

Harvey said after the Bummers game(RD 21) was that the side was three players short of the best possible side for 2009.

Missing were Palmer, Crowley, Johnson, Solomon, peake & a host of DAB's

Some how I don't think peake is in the 3 he was referring to.

your a flog, i cant wait till hinkley proves idiots like you wrong, 2010 isnt that far away :thumbsu:

KPR you know that I always enjoy your posts but I am one of those people that agree that Hinkley is a CHOP!

A wager is in order my man, less than 10 games next season and never more than 20 possies for the year.

How about a slab of Crownies? Up for the bet? The idiots demand satisfaction!!! LOL

By the way, I HOPE that he turns out to be a star. Last thing that we need is another high draft pick wasted on another CHOP midfielder.

I dont think anyone wants to see our players fail, but he'd want to show something similar to his Collingwood game next season, otherwise I'd hope that Harvey sends him on his way.

Ummm, from memory Peake is actually 26 or so. Started late. So I doubt there's any upside for him agewise.

And goals from outside 50? Are you serious? Even at his peak (ha ha) he was 50/50 from 40 metres on the run. If he's kicked a goal from outside 50 I can't remember it.
